😳😳 OMG!!! SQWEEEEE!!! Look at who made it into one of the product collages for our newly-launched gloss?! 🍇🍇 It’s not an official corporate photo, but we all use these collages so it’s kind of blowing my mind. 🤯🤯
I am quite regretting my decision to not wear mascara in that pic, though (but to be fair, I didn’t take the pic knowing it would be in a collage—it was a simple makeup day).
When your bestie decides she needs Lipsense.
So this is what happens when your bestie FINALLY comes to her senses and realizes she needs Lipsense in her life and she comes over to find just the right color and she’s a little picky. 😜 (Totally not judging because it also took me forever to find my perfect color, and I didn’t have anyone with this big of a selection to help me out so it took way longer than an hour.)
After all these colors, she ended up loving a combo of Cappuccino and Giddy Up with either Orchid or Grape gloss. She might also have gotten sucked into the Smoked Topaz on your brows train… GORGEOUS!!

I love my mom’s backyard for photos—the lush greenery makes for an absolutely perfect background. I was also wearing one of my favorite colors (Purple Reign) which also helps the pics turn out.

Going outside my (shadow) box!
Now, if y’all know me, I don’t really do shadows. (Frankly I kind of suck.) But I watched an amazing SeneSister do this eye look yesterday and she is so fun and genuine (sidenote I totally want to be her new bestie) that I was compelled to comment. When I said if I tried this look I’d end up looking like I have two black eyes…she challenged me. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED, Joyanne Boggs!!
I then totally fangirled over her and she graciously agreed to come to my group and do a demo for us (coming soon)!! But first today. Today I attempted this (minus the fake lashes because a girl can only do so much) and Joy had faith and showed up for emotional (and technical) support. And guys? It was a blast and I didn’t totally suck!
There was an unexplained Lapis Glitter incident 🤨 😂 plus I learned I still really need practice (I’m definitely not at her level!)…but overall, I’m really proud of myself for stepping outside my box!! #senesistersrock
Makeup that lasts through water slides!!
My lazy ass skincare routine.
So if you know anything about me, you know I’m super lazy when it comes to most everything. I mean, you know how much I love my egg chair, right? And I might enjoy making my kids run and get things for me so I don’t have to go upstairs. And a sloth would be my spirit animal. 😂
So for a long time, that kept me from doing any type of skincare. I hated that every night Tom would just get into bed and I had this whole ROUTINE I had to do (take out contacts, take off makeup—okay I guess that doesn’t sound like much but when hubby is in bed in a minute and you’re not, it’s annoying).
But then I turned 40 and realized I really should be taking care of my skin. So I started with baby steps. And over the past few years I’ve added a product here and there and I finally timed myself just to see how long it all took.
😳😳 The results are something even a lazy ass like me can accept:
☀️⏲ MORNING: 1 minute 30 seconds
🌙⏲ EVENING: 3 minutes 10 seconds
In all honesty, that is just skincare and not contact and makeup removal—but that would only add another two minutes at night. So it was actually MUCH less time than I thought it was.
I’m good with that.

Also, lipstick that’s been on since 9am and still looks good as new, even after shoveling McDonald’s fries into my face three at a time because I’m classy like that, sucking down an A&W Freeze like my life depended on it (have you HAD one? So much better than a float!), inhaling a margarita post-museum-adventure-afternoon with the kids…and it will last through the BLT pizza Tom is picking up right now.
SeneGence Leader’s Retreat, Day 2

Just here to meet the CEO of my company and get a personal training with 35 other amazing women. 💙 Of course we had to stop at the sign and all take pics.
We had to drive under the highway to get there!! That was weird.

After we signed in we were free to roam throughout the ranch. They don’t live there all the time but they do stay there. I loved the cement floors and the fact that it was all decluttered (life goals, right?).

The whole time we were watching the training, we were watching the workers set up for lunch. Of course it wasn’t just tables…so they literally spent three hours setting up!! And it was gorgeous!
I forgot—aren’t these earrings cute? They were a gift from our CP.
The next step in our journey—headquarters! I laughed at those taking pics in front of the sign but I’m kinda sad now that I didn’t.

Second round of training!
Back at the main house relaxing poolside. I could learn to love this. And yes, there’s a margarita just out of frame.
The Crown Princess I’ve been mentioning—the lovely Jenna. She’s so cute and tiny I just want to put her in my pocket.
Then we broke out into small training groups for an hour after dinner and then it was back to our house to get in the hot tub.
SeneGence Leaders Retreat, Day 1
So about six months ago I was pulled into a Facebook messenger leaders group with a bunch of other women that are all part of a certain leader’s downline. I was curious about how I was included because I am technically not part of her OFFICIAL downline (so she can’t see any of my statistics) but I was too excited to ask too many questions. We are basically a sounding board for each other and we have the ears of an amazing crown princess (CP) leader. In order to stay in the group (get special trainings, stay in the chat group) we have to keep up our own leadership qualities and our sales. It’s been amazing.
Then we were offered the opportunity to travel to Oklahoma for a personal training by the CEO of our company at her ranch. I debated for a bit (since it was right around the time of my anniversary and that’s always when I have my deep thoughts about what I’m doing going forward)…but I signed up. So here we are. 😀
I’m getting ready to head out in my SeneBlue outfit and leopard bag (the unofficial company print). I can’t believe I have everything I need in this tiny bag—but I refuse to pay to check a damn bag!
This is the look of someone who popped a Xanax this morning because my travel anxiety was out of control. I could feel my heart beating faster and it felt like my insides were rising up into my chest. (Much like I feel when we drive into Chicago.) Not debilitating by any stretch, but not fun. So I decided to be an adult and try and fix it. I hope the pills are still good—they’re from 2014 (2015?) when Tom last deployed. And I’m not sure I even took one back then, so instead of being older and wiser, apparently my thing is older and more anxious.

❌ Con? I forgot my big ass phone charger at my seat and I realized it within five minutes of getting off the plane and they went and checked and it’s gone so someone is now the proud owner of a stolen $50 phone charger. 😡
✅ Pro? My friend was close enough to the airport to stop and get me so I didn’t have to get an Uber.

I will say it was a little overwhelming meeting 35 women throughout the night (contrary to what most people think, I am an introvert), but it was an amazing feeling knowing I was hand-picked to be in the Leader’s group and then kept up my sales in order to qualify for this trip! (I also did ask and found out that the Crown Princess asked about me and got my info and personally hand-picked me!!)
Tomorrow, though, is the big day when we have a personal training session with our CEO at her ranch!!! I can’t wait!

A glorious rooster tail.
I did a live video today and put my hair up…and the rooster tail was absolutely glorious and perfect. I also might have still been in my PJs at 3:30 because it was that kind of a Sunday.

My first corporate training!
My friend Morgan was/is the Minnesota state leader so once she moved here she jumped right in with the Illinois state leaders and scheduled a state training. Since it was pretty much right in my backyard, there was no reason not to go.
Friday night was a meet and greet with the two ladies from corporate who would be doing the training, plus I got to meet the other state leaders (they were staying with Morgan).
I really spent some extra time on my makeup since I’d be with a whole room is SeneGence ladies… And I must say I looked pretty damn good. The best thing is that it really still only took like 15 minutes!! When I first started, the same face took me 30!

The training was great (yet also completely overwhelming) and I was very glad to get home…and relax. 😀 And then prep for friends coming over for dinner!!
Basking in the post-winter sun
I absolutely love the feeling of sun on my face after a long and cold winter…and today was that day, y’all. It feels like I have no cares in the world as I bask in the warmth and listen to the birds chirping and the kids screaming with delight as they jump on the neighbor’s trampoline. Summer is almost here and I’ll be out here enjoying every last minute of it before it gets too hot and buggy.

Dinner prep for six? Easy peasy.
A Cowboy Ribeye as big as your head vacuum sealed and seasoned with fresh rosemary, onion, and spices going into a 132° sous vide water bath for a few hours and then it will be quickly seared on a 600° grill. I am already drooling just thinking about the melt-in-your-mouth smoky meat that you can cut with a fork.🍴🤤 Do you sous vide? (If not, you totally should!)

Technically speaking this is my third, if you count the “margarita-esque” punch I had with lunch and the margarita-flavored Jelly Bellys I taste-tested at the factory today on our date afternoon. 😂

31 days of live videos!
So friends…tomorrow I will be attempting to GO LIVE for 30 DAYS talking about all sorts of BEAUTY-FUL THINGS.
My goal for these videos is:
- to be super short and sweet
- to keep my hot-mess-ness to a minimum 😂
- to bring some extra joy or laughter into your day!

So here’s one thing I love about our makeup.
If you’re not sure what colors to wear together, you can actually use the same color on lips, cheeks, and eyes!! This keeps everything in the same color family!!
💜 I did it here with Purple Reign! Wear it by itself on your lips, and then mix it with Pearlizer for cheeks and lids! I did less purple for the blush and more purple for my eyes.
(Yes, Purple Reign isn’t very aptly named. It’s way more pink on most people. But the real life swatch is more purple. Go figure.)

I had an event at a ladies day at a local car dealership so I prepped my arm with shadows (and my hand with lipstick) to WOW people. Aren’t they pretty?!
