Game Day at Grandma’s!

We spent the day at Grandma Marsha’s place, and it just happened to be MSU game day! We all had our jerserys—and the boys played football and hot potato! I love Owen’s guffaw.

I caught Owen catching the football!

And I got to take a little nap with Maggie…

Refusing to go poop!

This is now one of my all-time favorite Owen videos. Oh. My. Gawd. It was all I could do while recording him NOT to bust out laughing…and at one point, you can see the video jiggle because I was trying to hold it in. I laugh every single time I watch it, and I bet you will, too. In fact, I dare you to only watch it once.

Owen trying to take his shirt off

We were outside on the porch waiting for Tom to come home, when Owen decided he wanted to take his shirt off. Sometimes we do this when he plays in the sprinkler, but we weren’t doing that and he didn’t want to do that…so I have no idea why he wanted it off. So, I wasn’t going to take it off—but I told him that if HE could take it off, then it could come off. So he tried. And tried. Then asked for help. Then got more interested in watching himself (as usual) than trying to get the shirt off. Then got distracted by the spiderweb…

Walking like a zombie…and more!

Owen is obsessed with zombies, thanks to Tom’s iPhone game Plants vs. Zombies. He will tell you they pee on the floor (like they do in the game), he will list off characters (the one with the screen door, the one with the zamboni, etc.), and he will walk like a zombie… (And then of course he wants me to turn the phone/camera around so he can see himself, but of course it doesn’t work like that.)

He’s also obsessed with FINISH LINES, courtesy of the Cars Wii game he’s been addicted to for months…so he’s always talking about finish lines and spelling F-I-N-I-S-H. I can’t quite make out the first few words he’s whispering, but then I definitely hear finish line. Then I try to get him to say “Arrrr” like a pirate but it doesn’t quite turn out like I thought. 🙂

Owen holds Katie! Owen feeds Katie!

He finally agreed to hold her today! Thank heavens for iPhones so I could capture it—I asked him like I always do but I really wasn’t expecting him to say yes so I didn’t have my real camera handy.

He was practically giddy with excitement and was all smiles—it was SO cute!

Checking himself out in the mirror!

And then he was done…and off doing Owen stuff again.

ARRRRRR!!!

Owen’s first trike!

He never really liked ride-on toys. We tried a balance bike—he didn’t like (get) that at all. He showed no interest in a regular bike. So when I saw this trike for a steal, we thought we’d try it. It just might work…

Aside from pushing the bike around the house, this is his entire first experience (outside) with his new trike. I think we have a ways to go yet. 🙂
