My two Cupie dolls…at about the same age.

Sometimes it takes a bit of bribery to get a cute picture. I promised him an ice cream sandwich if he sat nice with Katie… 🙂

They each have their own B. 🙂

He finally agreed to hold her today! Thank heavens for iPhones so I could capture it—I asked him like I always do but I really wasn’t expecting him to say yes so I didn’t have my real camera handy.
He was practically giddy with excitement and was all smiles—it was SO cute!
Checking himself out in the mirror!
And then he was done…and off doing Owen stuff again.
ARRRRRR!!!

Day 1 is not over yet…Katie doesn’t want to go to bed…and she only had one nap today! Stinker! But I survived! And both kids survived!
Taking a break from playing knight to check out his sister. 🙂

Today is the first day I’m totally on my own with both kids. EEK!!
He loves sticking his finger in the hole when she’s sucking. :>>

We’re also trying to teach him to put the paci back in her mouth when she spits it out…and sometimes he does okay but we’re working on doing it more gently. 🙂
Owen helped with Katie’s bath tonight (if you can count touching her with the washcloth as helping!) and he counted her toes with Gramma Jean—he counted 7 on one foot and still came up with 10. 😀 He is getting closer to her each day and wants to keep her now.

I loved these two Facebook comments on this photo:
Nancy => He’s deciding what seasoning he needs.
Jami => Brainz!!!
Owen is interested in Katie, but not enough to want to hold her or barely get near her to take a picture. As it was, to even get these attempted shots, we had to bribe him with the promise of chocolate cake…and you can see, I STILL didn’t get a decent one. |-|

YAAAAAAAAAWN.

This is about as close as he gets.

So we were getting ready to leave the hospital. Owen hadn’t been thrilled with Katie (she’s loud when she cries!) but it wasn’t anything bad or worrisome.
Well, as it happened, he smacked his leg on the hard plastic side rails while he was getting off the bed so he was already whining a bit. And then Katie was crying because Tom was strapping her into the car seat…which was agitating Owen even more.
So as we’re walking out of the room, Owen starts saying stuff like “NO KATIE! No take Katie home! Leave Katie here!” and was actually trying to push the car seat back into the room.
😯
😥
And so the sibling love begins, we thought.
Thankfully by the time we got out to the car, he was okay.
