Subtitled: I want that car.
Both entranced by Sesame Street:
Well, just the jacket, really. 🙂 This is the next item from the Jenny’s-old-clothes-for-Katie drawer. She wasn’t being especially cooperative this morning so no super cute photo.
Then Owen chimed in and said “I want to sit with her!”
And hugging her. I think. Well, at least he’s loving on her even if it really isn’t a hug per se.
It’s not too bad for a 10-minute process!! Maggie is the only one not cooperating—well, that and the flash, since I had it set for three-pics-at-a-time and my battery was dying. But it’s still a pretty good pic!
And then when we were done, Owen wanted to take some pictures. So he took this one! (Basically he just pressed the button and the camera did the rest—but he was still proud!)
Now that Owen actually likes Katie, I bought some Big Brother/Little Sister shirts for them to wear in sibling photos (yes, I’m THAT mom)!
First, we just set Katie on Owen and lots of rolling around and laughing ensued.
I love his look—like he’s 16 and saying I’m too cool to be here doing this. Or maybe even Watch it, this is my little sister and I’ll hurt you if you mess with her.
Then some smiles!
And then each kid with their own B. 🙂
I’ve been a little off schedule due to sick kids and Tom’s new temporary work hours…
When I was cleaning out the garage last weekend, I pulled out some old outfits of Owen’s that I wanted Katie to wear so I could try and get “matching” pictures. I couldn’t remember the exact age to get them SUPER matching, so today seemed like a good day. And then I went back and found the picture of Owen that I remembered in the outfit (it was one of our favorites!) and imagine my surprise when I counted the days of both and Owen was 3 months 27 days old and Katie was 3 months 28 days old! I couldn’t have planned it much better if I had tried!
Me: Are you ready to get up?
Owen: We’re gonna take mama’s car and go and find daddy!
Owen: I need a snack.
Me: You just had a snack. Would you like breakfast?
Owen: No.
Me: Remember, we have bagels.
Owen: No, I don’t want food anymore.
Watching an episode of Little Einsteins about Saturn.
Owen: Look Katie, it’s beautiful!!
(That cuteness lasted all of 30 seconds because he wouldn’t stop wiggling and she fell over.)

I wanted to get all our blue eyes in a photo, but I settled for three of them. 🙂 I’m really happy we all have my dad’s eyes. ♥
Linda’s mom and dad, aunt and uncle, and a family friend all came over for dinner tonight. They all LOVED holding Katie and all threatened to steal her. 🙂
Unfortunately, I didn’t remember to take her monthly photos until in-between post-immunization tantrums…so I was lucky to get any decent shots at all. And after the luck I had with the “1 Month” sticker matching her onesie perfectly…this month was nearly impossible—I had to put a onesie on backwards (the front had writing that wouldn’t be covered by the sticker)! And as she was laying on one of Owen’s B’s, he was QUITE concerned at first…but I convinced him to share. 🙂
