Friends are 50% more!

Long story short I saw this Pyrex before Christmas but decided I didn’t NEED it. Fast forward and I decided I wanted a deep lasagna pan and scoured Amazon to no avail… forgetting about the one I saw at Target. Then a friend posted on Facebook that she found it (with a lid!) at a local chain (we don’t have one in our town but there’s one about 15 minutes away but I never go there). Well, another friend happened to be there and she knew I was looking for one so just as I was texting her to see if she could grab one for me, she told me it was in her cart already. I love my friends. And now I can’t wait to make lasagna!!

I was today years old when I learned…

You aren’t supposed to burn your Christmas tree in the fireplace. Whoopsie.

I posted this pic and caption on Facebook:

When it’s time to take the tree down but you don’t want a trail of needles through the house and you love a good fire. 🎄🔥

Two friends immediately posted that was NOT A GOOD THING, but I didn’t see it because I was offline watching a movie with the fam. Then a friend called me to tell me about it. We were being careful, but we did stop burning it.

Two Golden Girls

Look what we decided to do this morning? Gold mask for the face and Lip Smooth for the lips! No, Katie (age 7), doesn’t need the mask but what little girl doesn’t want to put gold on her face?! (Also, you see it’s not her whole face. I’m not wasting it on her youth!)

A product only photo.

AND THEN…DAMN TECHNOLOGY. Katie and I tried to go live on Facebook to peel our faces off and it said it was live but then said our internet connection was low (which is very weird because we just got a new system and it works SOOOO much better than our old one). And then it looked like it was connected and then when I was done and went to hit publish, it said a live needed to be more than four seconds to post. WHAT?! Gaaaaaah. DAMMIT. I have no idea what happened or what’s wrong with our new system.

Clearance thrills! Life hack!

I love the thrill of finding something I want or need on clearance… Honestly it gives me a little endorphin rush!! So post-holiday shopping is FUN! I also love life hacks that are actually, you know, USEFUL, so here’s a twofer:

I didn’t need any 🎄Christmas🎄 wrapping paper but ✨gold stripes✨ can be used for absolutely any occasion. 💥 BAM! 💥 Wrapping paper for the year for under $5! You’re welcome!

And now for something completely different. Just my eyes.

Well okay you get the rest of my face, too, but let’s just look at the eyes because my lips weren’t done yet. 👀

Of course I’m wearing Smoked Topaz in my brows because that is life. And Champagne Shimmer and Cinnamon Shimmer are my daily go-to duo because the Champagne Shimmer is light enough to not have to pay super close attention to where it goes. 😂 #lifehack #toldyouiwaslazy And the two blend so beautifully and so quickly—I can do it in under a minute. And then of course finish with the Eye Pencil liner and then Primer and VolumeIntense Mascara (my love—I still can’t believe I’m hooked on damn mascara and feel naked without it).

Mmm. Monaco cocktails.

So this is what happens when you are wasting time while waiting for your take out Chinese order to be ready… you walk down the strip to the liquor store and see what’s new. Enter Monaco Cocktails. The cashier recommended the white can (original, which I tried Saturday with a friend) and this one, which most likely approximated a margarita. I approve of both (the white one tasted like Monster+Vodka) but this one is better. Cheers!

Happy New Year from Living Lippy!

If you’d told me on NYE 2017 that on NYE 2020 I’d be 2.5 years into a successful direct sales business, I would have laughed you out of my house (yes, we’d have been at my house since we have young kids and we’re both homebodies 😂).

I never EVER imagined I’d choose to do something that required sales, actively talking to people (strangers even!), live videos, and applying makeup…yet here we are! And I’m having a blast!

So as the new year begins I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me—I couldn’t have done it without you!

Gramma’s pics from Christmas in Grayling.

I forgot my mom gave me her pics so now they’re out of order. But all these were from our trip.

Owen gave us a saxophone performance.

And some silliness…

Katie decided to go barefoot in the snow like cousin Anna did one year.

Owen in two of his presents.

The family picture.

Katie was being kinda a stinker and left this sad note for Santa.

Tubing with the fam!

We all went tubing today at Hanson Hills!! I had never done it before but I am all about NOT having to walk up the hill!! I hadn’t been inside the building in probably 25 years…plus they’ve totally updated it…so how can it still smell exactly the same?!

Tubing was so much fun…but everyone else in Grayling had the same idea and there were too many people (IMO) so we only got three runs in! It only took about 10 minutes max to ride up and go down but they’re were so many people we were waiting 15 minutes in line. (The tow rope also broke for about 15 minutes—THANKS, MARIE!—so that didn’t help.)

Katie only went down twice—she got too freaked out that she was going to come out of the tube. I could actually understand—you really got going fast and I was initially a bit freaked out. I went down once with Owen, once with Tom, and then the last trip with Tom, Owen, Doug, and Robert!

Thanks to Gramma Jean for taking pics with my phone!!

Bitmoji iPad tech support

So the iPad lessons have been continuing and tonight I was helping Mom setup Snapchat and Bitmoji because she wanted a fun Bitmoji.

We were having fun when Katie came in and wanted to help. It was funny. Gramma Jean was looking at the type of body to use and said “OH NO! I have to use the last one (plump)” and Katie spread her arms to the Heavens and said “No, make yourself skinny!” So damn cute. Mom and I laughed and laughed.

Here’s the first Bitmoji she published to Facebook!

A Tom and Doug project.

As usual, we decided on a tech project halfway through our stay… Mom and David got a new TV! Which meant Tom had to pick it up in Traverse City (which was fine because he was headed that way to spend the day with Rob) and then get it all set up and hooked to the surround sound. Doug was tapped to help. The old TV went downstairs and that even older TV went to the the garage to be given away!
