Katie’s teacher gift drop off!
It’s Teacher Appreciation Week and…end of year I guess?! Mrs. Hansen got some beauty goodies from me and, well, since it’s Cinco de Mayo she also got margaritas (plus Katie’s memory book to write in). She only lives about a mile from us—and probably less as the crow flies.
Lest you think I forgot Owen’s teacher…I delivered hers last week! That was a story in itself. I transposed her address so I actually dropped off the gift—and Owen’s book!—at the wrong house!!! There were a few moments of panic on my end because Owen’s book is irreplaceable and I kept thinking WHAT IF… Plus with the Corona thing, it’s not like she could just go knock on the other person’s door! And I felt horrible that I screwed it up. Well, some quick googling got me property records and a name which got me to LinkedIn where I recognized the guy who had been inside the screen door at a desk (I had just assumed it was her husband) and his posted resume had a phone number! I called and left a message explaining everything…and he called back almost immediately—he had been talking to her! She had walked down and they had a nice chat! In a bizarre turn of events, his daughter’s name was Heather and she was a teacher so he just thought it was a gift for her and didn’t even think anything of it! But he was very nice about it and even joked about enjoying the margaritas!
I’ve taken control of my chair!
And even asked Tom to move it out to the grass for a change of scenery!!
I might have gotten sidetracked on the way there. The sun feels so good.

I’m not going THAT gray. Right?!
But look a little closer… Bunches of ’em. All wiry and short. Gah! Thankfully they aren’t too noticable!!
When it’s been a day…
When it’s been a day and you’re on your second 24 ounce Tervis of margaritas and you throw on one more layer of LipSense and gloss to get through the rest of the night and your hair is a hot mess and you don’t even care because 48oz of margaritas.

One of my local clients came over to pick up her order today! I might also have sold her a jug of margaritas so she didn’t have to go to the grocery store. Also? We did eventually stand outside about 8′ apart and chat for 15 minutes. It was nice, y’all. #doingbusinessthecovidway
I’m a Maiden again!
Okay so I’ve told you all I never got into this side hustle planning on having a team—and I still don’t really worry about it that much—but it’s still exciting to get that email telling you you ranked up to Maiden!
For those playing along, I have been a maiden before and was actually a higher rank, but unless your team keeps up their sales, you lose your rank. When you have a FREAKING BLAST doing an…
eyeshadow look LIVE with your clients…and it seems like it’s going to be a HOT MESS but it turns out SOOOOO FREAKINRG GORGEOUS.

- Trust the process and believe.
- It’s just makeup.
- Mascara really helps. (It REALLY does help finish a look and make it look better, even when it seems scary.)
- So do margaritas.

Owen left these on my side of the bed.
He usually comes downstairs at or after his bedtime to show us these things he draws, so I think this was his compromise.
Tom braved Sam’s Club today…
so it’s pizza for dinner. And of course drinks.

(Some of that was for friends, but still.)

I take that back. I actually have many nasty words for these young people who apparently think it’s a great time for a pickup volleyball game in our neighborhood.
Yes he’s mowing the lawn.
He loves mowing the lawn because he gets to wear headphones and listen to music but holy moly does it take him forever.
If you look closely you can see the neighbor kid mowing their lawn, too!
I’ve given up trying for the pucker.
A year later and I’m still trying to get the Breesy Brie pucker. I’ve actually given up and just do it crazy now. 😂

Today I had a Lippy Visit with Ann—our old neighbor from North Carolina! We decided to go outside her comfort zone with more powerful colors instead of her typical Moca Java/Candied Cocoa Shimmer… She wasn’t too sure but I think it looks great (and her daughter agreed)!
We both used the same colors on our eyes…

Tonight was my pseudo-upline’s Dominion Virtual Awards. I didn’t get to attend (because I didn’t pay)…but look at what I qualified for?! COMEBACK QUEEN RETREAT! Just 21 people out of maybe thousands?! WHAAAAAT?! I was floored when my friend Breesy sent this screenshot to me!
And remember the awards I mentioned I technically achieved but didn’t get my own certificate because I didn’t pay to attend? Well, they made a one-time exemption with virtual certificates—and my name wasn’t on it (I did it myself!) but here they are!
Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way! I never imagined this little side gig would turn into this…

We had to take Tom in to drop off his car (when he took it out this week he realized the brakes needed attention) so since we were going to be out, we placed an order…
