Tom bought a new rifle to take deer hunting so they went to the range to test it out.
Y’all. Nutty bars might be my most favorite snacks from my youth. And they still taste mostly the same (unlike other things).
I have memories of these going back to elementary school. Friends of ours gave me a special Halloween treat bag every year that had one in it. Very rarely my mom would buy them as a special treat. We could buy them in the high school lunch line (this and a Mountain Dew was often my unhealthy lunch – for $1.05).
I generally forget about them for long periods of time, but then I’ll buy a big box and eat them all (though my kids help me now) in a short time span. We’ll be finishing our second box shortly!
Do you like a Little Debbie Nutty Bar?
Ivy MUST touch Olive at any opportunity.
And Ivy just being her weird self.
The kids are growing up—they each went trick or treating with friends in other neighborhoods.
Owen and friends are all going as Men in Black and Katie was going to be Barbie until the weather turned so now she’s Angel from Lilo & Stitch.
This is the best I could do.
Tuckered out…
Ivy was acting really weird earlier today and we thought she might have had a seizure (she was basically motionless with some slight twitching in a weird position for four minutes).
The vet was thrilled I had recorded it and agreed it looked like a minor seizure. But! She was also diagnosed with a double ear infection so the two things might be related. Blood panel came back with everything looking perfect so it’s a wait and see kind of thing.
The high school had a trick or treating event so I took Katie. It was mostly for younger kids but she played some games and came home with some candy so she was happy. And she was thrilled that lots of the high school girls knew she was Barbie and loved her shoes!
She also learned a great lesson—heels suck.
This is an all too familiar sight these days…
I attempted to straighten her hair plus did her make-up. I don’t like how old she looks.
I was busy when my Friday reminder went off and I thought I snoozed it but here we are.
I grew up an only child so was thrilled when I gained three new stepsiblings when my mom remarried! We don’t get to see each other that often, so when we do, I love it!
Last week, these two were able to join us in Maine so we enjoyed some time on the beach at our cottage just catching up!
My last homemade lobster meal from my mom before heading to the airport—a lobster omelette with a side of lobster!
Our last fresh lobster dinner—2+ pounders! We couldn’t even finish them so we have leftovers for lobster quiche in the morning before heading to the airport and back to real life!
