What clowns.
Oh yeah! Papa and Grannie are here on their way back from Florida…and they brought the kids clown noses. I love their serious faces in the first pic.

Snafus + glitches = wine
This is me after yet another day of excruciatingly annoying beind-the-scenes glitches and snafus. Who knew relaunching a business would be so stressful?! 🙂
Here’s one thing I was dealing with… Are you guys ready for a laugh? I requested a cartoon avatar from a designer at Fiverr and this is what he gave me. YIKES!

He pretty much didn’t follow ANY instruction I gave him other than I’m female with dark hair holding a margarita. I honestly think he forgot about it (he was past due) and when I called him on it, he grabbed the closest clip art that matched. It’s already been refunded, but I that means I have to start all over with someone else.
And another thing? My shipping company sends out BCC tracking notifications…except I wasn’t getting them. They simply told me they were going out fine and to check with my email provider. I did my own troubleshooting with a friend, we identified where the problem was, Google customer support confirmed it, so I got to go back to the shipping company and say “No, it IS on your end.” And oh yeah, my support request doesn’t show up anywhere in their online portal and no one can figure out why. (See, one little problem after another. Eventually they discovered the issue on their end but it took a week!) I’m very thankful for my friend Tori who is basically my go-to guru for anything graphics, design, or IT…or, hell, life! 🙂 She keeps me laughing through it all.
So tonight I’m trying a blueberry wine that Lin brought back from Florida…it’s not a margarita but it’s an interesting change of pace.

Blueberry muffin helpers!
Grannie brought a bunch of hand-picked blueberries from Florida so they made muffins! Grannie definitely has more patience in the kitchen with them than I do!!

I can relax now.
The last time I was at Sam’s Club, I noticed my margaritas were gone. I might have freaked out a bit.
But today I found them… We must have missed the tiny half aisle where they relocated them.

So now I can relax. 🙂

Tuesday date day!
Tom took the day off after his sleep study so we had a date afternoon and went out for lunch to a new place…

Afterward we hit a craft beer store and Tomgot his treat. I had a margarita with lunch so it was his turn. 🍺

Tom looks at beer while I look at beer names. This is my current favorite.

His second sleep study.
So Tom had his first sleep study a few weeks ago. His results?
You have tested positive for sleep apnea with an AHI of 17. The AHI is the average number of times per hour you stopped breathing during your sleep. A 5 or more is clinically significant; a 30 or more is severe. You are in a moderate category, so we would like to get you treated as soon as possible.
So he had to go back again. And he took a picture this time. 🙂

So now we wait for his machine to arrive. 🙂
April 15th. Are you kidding me?

I’ve missed this cuddle partner.
Unfortunately for both of us it’s time for me to get up and start working.

That’s not what I expected.
There’s nothing quite like hearing a scratching noise at the window, looking back, and seeing this. Yikes! The cat (sleeping in the bed) didn’t even realize what was happening.

This is how Owen empties the dryer.

This is a legit Intramural game.

I’m not quite sure what game it was, but another mom confirmed it was legit and they were supposed to be doing that. 🙂
Supportive school!
The kids have State testing coming up and these are some of the signs in the hallways. I love it.

And another random sign:

That’s how I feel, too.
Thank you, Charlie, for sitting your ass right on my Virginia Tax Return. That’s how I feel, too. (I have to file a $40 return to get $15 back.)

Surprise twinsies!
Katie put these leggings on today so I surprised hey by putting my matching ones on, too!

I figured out why we haven’t seen spring yet!!
I still have my apple cider soap out. That’s a fall/winter scent. So today I switched it out for lilac. You’re welcome.

Tom’s weekend planter project.

Owen reading “Dog Man” to Maggie. 💗
Owen said he wanted to read to Maggie so he thought she’d like “Dog Man.” 🙂

She loves sun anywhere she can get it.
Even if it’s on our windowsill behind the dresser behind the curtains.

Smiley girl at dinner.

Owen made new friends!
We have new neighbors moving in across the street but they haven’t officially moved in yet—and we haven’t even met them. But today I looked out and saw two boys about Owen’s age playing catch. So I told him he should go over and introduce himself. He was so excited he couldn’t get out of the house fast enough, saying “I feel really good about this!” 🙂
Of course I spied from the living room. 🙂

He ended up playing with them for hours and they were back and forth between yards and Katie even got involved for a little bit.
Owen reported their names, that they are in 4th and 5th grades, they will be moving in this summer, and they also have one more younger brother in 2nd grade.
It was great to see him so excited!
Dog legs.

This is new, too.
Katie’s first official Lego build!
The official Lego rules state that you have to be six years old so we’ve been playing by the rules…but at the last build they asked why she wasn’t building and we said because she wasn’t six yet. They told us they don’t care and to just sign her up. YAY!
Of course Owen was done in a few minutes, but she kept at it and did it with barely any help!

This is new.
Did I just make it better or worse?
When you’re trying to come up with a new color palette for your #SAHMhustle and you think “How hard can it be to pick the color of a #margarita?” and you spend hours on #Pinterest and in graphics apps playing (I mean working!) and none of them are quite right (too neon, too pale, too pastel, doesn’t go with other colors) and then you remember you have a paint color sample ring and you wonder if that just made it worse or better?! #helpme #colorpaletterabbithole #pinteresttimesuck #valspar #lowes #rebranding #suitespring #maybeishouldbedrinkingamargarita #senegence #lipsense #livinglippy

She’s definitely got her own style.
Gone are the days when I could get her into super cute outfits without question…

You see the whole outfit, right? With the Halloween socks and gold shoes? 🙂
Easter Bunnies
The good thing about the kids getting older? I don’t feel the need to be up at 6:30am with them to look for eggs! (Tom was up, though–he’s always up!) I heard them excitedly searching for and finding them, then rolled over and went back to sleep for a bit. When I did get up, I made them pose with their because of course. 🙂
This is part of what it looks like while I’m trying to take them:

And then moments later they got their Easter treat: xbox time!
This is how they usually end up during a movie.

Two climbing monkeys!
I’m proud of both of them. He would never have climbed that high before last year. And at Katie’s age? No way. Yet there they both are!

We met friends for a play date and the playground was wet from overnight rain so Katie was running around drying things off (I planned ahead and had towels in the car). Owen went to the top of a two-story slide and said “It’s dry up here” as he started down…before I could warn him to look at the bottom of the slide. The next thing you saw was his legs and a huge gush of water spraying out of the slide. Maybe next time he’ll learn! He didn’t let his wet butt stop him from playing, though!
