While we weren’t paying attention, they got into the office into a SeneGence box with packing paper…and took it outside and tore it to shreds.
Chocolate martinis for the win!
There are a few faves in this photo:
What you can’t see?
Would this make it on your favorites?
I come downstairs from my shower to find this:
GRRRRRRRRR.
I left a cabinet open and somehow the dogs got into a bag AND a box and…Katie just found this.
This is what it originally looked like:
It’s just a ‘thing’ so it probably shouldn’t bother me as much as it did—but it was one of my souvenirs from the week I spent with my mom at Pysanky On The River last year and I met the artist (Theresa Somerset, who is amazing) and she had so many beautiful eggs that it took awhile for me to decide and pick this one… And it was expensive and can’t be replaced (I asked).
Stupid dogs.
Sooooo much better than my first attempt! (I learned a sneaky way to do hearts!)
It’s just two small overlapping ovals!!
I’m getting better but still nowhere near my mom. Hers is in the middle. Katie’s is the heart with tic tac toe. Mine are the rest.
I’m already planning on redoing the pride heart egg because I know I can do it better!
My mom is here visiting…so that means it’s time to do Pysanky! I haven’t done it much since we went to the workshop last October. Because it’s so time intensive, it’s eggs or reading. And y’all know what I’ve been choosing! But I’m taking advantage of her vast experience and making memories…
It wasn’t too busy thankfully. It did get a little busier but nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be for a really nice holiday weekend.
Anna and I painted our pets (puppy Olive and Honey) at a local art studio! (Tom and I did birch trees here before!) With the pets, they start you with a pencil drawing from a photo you send— which made it a ton easier!
It was really fun, though I enjoyed it more than Anna did!
Soooo this is happening today. Perfect timing weather-wise as it might be open longer than we thought did to unforseen wood rot issues.
It’s in but I didn’t take a final photo yet because the molding and such isn’t complete!
—without saying they’re lazy. (This is clean and was sent up with a child for their bathroom.)
We can’t afford to redo the entire deck at once so it’s baby projects for now… and today Tom only had time for one side.
If y’all know anything about me, you know I love Costco and Sam’s Club. I have so many favorites at each place it would be hard to narrow it down to just a few things.
But today, I’m going to tell you about my new favorite thing from Sam’s Club—🦐 Shrimp ceviche! You may scoff at getting something like this from a warehouse club, but it was really good! Plentiful shrimp, fresh veggies, decent cost—I will admit that it needed salt, and then I ended up putting a little too much in … but I still had to stop myself from eating the whole thing in one sitting. 🤤
Can you even see it?
Sleeping in, hubby cuddles, crispy waffles (cheesy eggs and sausage not shown!), a handmade card, and hot chocolate…
OMG. I can’t believe it’s taken me a year to come to Ducks Donuts (they just celebrated their one-year anniversary yesterday)!
My faves (of the ones in this box—the Signature Assortment) are Bacon in the Sun and Coconut Island Bliss. Though Sunrise and Blueberry Pancake were nice surprises!
This was next up on my #goodreadschallenge2023 list but I have a feeling I’m gonna need to refer back to this again and again so I just ordered it.
Untangled: Guiding Teenage Girls Through the Seven Transitions into Adulthood
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent! Highly recommend!
And today I learned this about microwaves!
Chocolate and peanut butter is one of my all time favorite combos so whenever Costco has this granola, I’m buying about five bags! I did find it on Amazon when Costco ran out, but obviously the bags are smaller and it costs more.
I could seriously eat this every day, but I limit myself to a bag every few weeks.
These buggers sure blend in well.
Baby bunny in a bowl…
Sooooo Ivy just brought a baby rabbit into the house…in her teeth. It wasn’t quite dead…so Tom had to kill it. Katie was a mess. Poor Ivy, I’m sure, just thought it was a toy.
We went outside to look for more (just in case) and Tom found the nest (and another bunny). As he was moving it outside the fence (to be near where we saw the mama bunny), I almost stepped on this one hiding in the grass.
We relocated that one, too.
