You guys. Running your own business is a total rollercoaster. The ups are great and the downs suck—and to be totally honest, every month I have thoughts of “Do I really want to keep doing this?”
But of course I keep going because 1. The products are life changing and 2. The extra money does come in handy.
But this month?

This month I’m thinking about 3. This retreat I earned in Arizona at this amazing house…and how I’m going to finally get to meet some friends I’ve known for years but haven’t met in person. And give my adopted leader a huge hug and thank her for taking me in. And of course have a margarita or three in this amazing pool!
tl;dr DON’T GIVE UP!
Anna and David are watching Olive while we’re in Michigan this weekend.

No, she’s not being spoiled.

It’s always too late or too early when we drive by…but today it was perfect! It was tooo much ice cream for sure!!

One corner of our sunshade ripped in the storm and it made a tempting plaything for Olive.

Hey mom. I think I thought this was going to be a good idea but the holes are too big for my little feets and this is not comfortable.

I’m all good—just finished book 32 and starting book 33…

Still loving the Ooni pizza oven — tonight we had al pastor! With pineapple, red onion, shaved parmesan, mozzarella, lime crema, and cilantro. So delish!

And Tom slept through it all thanks to two Tylenol PMs!

Katie was having a sleepover so her and her friend came bursting into our room at 1:45am just when the power went out (the first time). Katie was REALLY freaked out but her friend was so sweet trying to comfort her. Owen had been sleeping out in the gazebo but came inside at some point. (He later said he was getting rained on—but it was just rain coming in through the open vent of the gazebo.)
Both of our computer battery backups were beeping and I couldn’t turn them off (I could barely manage to reach one and unplugging it did nothing). So then I was wide awake…so read for an hour—and the power came back on about 3 and then it started storming again…and the power went out again and is still out. I’m exhausted.
Tom and Dave took Owen and Evan to Milwaukee for a major league baseball game!

Since the boys were at a baseball game, Anna and I decided to go out for dinner…and Mexican and margaritas sounded perfect!

I got this in case the kids need to sit on the floor. Olive thinks it’s hers!

Ten year old girls are GRRRRRRRRRRR.

I think I need to come up with a new goal for #goodreadschallenge2022 (it was 12).

Katie decided to get a cotton candy machine with some of her birthday money. I might have showed it to her.

Unfortunately it got taken away for a bit since she left everything out after me telling her about four times to take care of it.

Outdoor movie night — Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure! Katie didn’t care for it, Owen enjoyed it. We couldn’t believe it was 35 years ago.
