Atlanta Day 3

Gorgeous and 70°
Visiting the roof of Kelly’s office building – ’twas a bit gusty.
Checking out Kelly’s new future puppy.
Threatening to take home the orange kitty I’ve never had but always wanted.
Eating a delicious burger with avocado, fried egg, and breaded shrimp!
Still working on this godforsaken puzzle. It was horrible. Pieces fit together and looked right…but were totally wrong. There was lots of swearing.

NIMCon Solo Ensemble

Northern Illinois Music Conference

Thankfully it wasn’t too far to Highland Park Middle School—and they looked pretty alert for 8am.

Lucas and Owen
Our actual view during their piece. LOL — They earned a 2.

Between performances we just hung around the library/cafeteria area with Lucas’ parents. It’s a really nice school.

Owen’s big ensemble did The Entertainer and it was really good!

They earned a 1!

After the performance, the judge gives them a few tips and suggestions and has them practice some bars again to see the difference. It’s really neat.

Yes I’m really up and ready this early.

Owen has a band solo ensemble this morning—half an hour away plus he plays first at 8am and we’re supposed to be there 45 minutes prior. So my alarm went off at 5:30. I’m already looking forward to my nap this afternoon. 😂

Magic Spoon cereal? Meh.

We wanted to try it after seeing tons of ads for it—we were intrigued. So we finally forked over $10 for a box and…meh.

As you can see — the bag is only half full. And it was a smaller box to start. The taste was okay — it definitely didn’t taste like the sugar cereals of our youth like they claim. That said, it wasn’t bad…but I wouldn’t waste your money on this unless you really REALLY specifically needed this type of product and just couldn’t live without cereal.
