Being built, that is. (Now we just have to get everything back on it so it looks nice again!)
But first, we had to get different wood delivered because there was a slight misunderstanding on the size of the second deck so different pieces of wood would work better. They worked most of the day…and about 6:30 it was done!
We did move the table and chairs back to the lower level to test it out, but I can tell already I want it back where it was originally (if only to make meals outside easier so we don’t have to lift Katie’s high chair down and up again). And it’s a little too close to the bay of windows in case of a sudden windstorm that sends the umbrella and/or table flying.
Tom also still needs to build some seating around the upper edges but for the moment, it’s done! Owen loved running around on it, too…
And Katie. Wow. She LOVED being outside with the breeze in her face! (It was a really nice night—almost bordering on chilly—which was surprising after the humid day.) She sat outside in her high chair FOR AN HOUR perfectly content!
