The doc gave us the okay, so we tried it! And???? Not so much. Well, we weren’t sure if it was the rice so much as the spoon or texture he didn’t like, LOL. So we mixed it in his bottle (a mere teaspoon) and…we will see what happens sleep-wise. And we will try more rice tomorrow!

How cute!! His first real food. I think he did real well! It is all new and strange to him. I KNOW HE WILL SLEEP BETTER/LONGER after having some cereal! In the “old days” we started cereal and fruit at a few weeks old! That is why you started sleeping through the night at 8 weeks!!!

You are going to have to learn the “pin the hands down” manuever.
His inside arm goes behind your back while your free hand goes around Owen and holds his other hand. This keeps his hands away from the spoon and his mouth. You probably know that.

Mike – EXACTLY!!! That was the maneuver we used on you Jen and it works wonderfully! Hold him on your left side with his right arm behind you. Your left arm is free to hold his left arm and your right arm can feed the little bugger!!! PRESTO!!!
