I do not know how I am going to survive back in Michigan winters. This morning in North Carolina it is 35° and I am hating it! HATING IT! We didn’t have the heat on, so the house was 51° this morning, I took a 15-minute HOT shower (I’m usually out in under 10), poor Maggie was bundled up under the blankets in her crate (see below!) and did NOT want to come out, she was shivering after 10 seconds outside (as I was!), and I have no good warm clothes to wear (that fit, but that’s fodder for another post).
What is up with this cold weather this early? Last winter must have been unseasonably warm, as I SPECIFICALLY remember not having to wear a coat until mid-December, and even then, it was only sporadically.
Yesterday was our first day with the heat on. Diesel stays in his bed a bit longer now as well. I was hoping not to turn the heat on til November! The acorns this year have been brutal which means an awful winter. We need hardhats in the driveway…not to mention the dings on the cars.
