I was in her closet putting stuff away when I heard “Bunny please. Bunny please mama.” Huh? Oh!!! She saw the bunny ears on the floor of her closet!
40 Bags in 40 Days—Day 19
We were really busy around the house today getting rooms optimized for taking listing pictures…but we did sell a bookcase! That counts!
We almost just lost both cats in one fell swoop.
We were busy cleaning upstairs but I went downstairs for some random thing and saw the door to the garage open about 4″. Huh?! I looked out and yep, both garage doors were wide open.
INSTANT PANIC.
Almost immediately I saw Bella come running toward me (she must have heard me) and she darted right back in the house. So then it was off to find Charlie—if she was even out. Luckily she was on the porch and didn’t jump or dart and let me grab her.
CRISIS AVERTED.
I went to tell Tom what had happened, thinking maybe he accidentally left the door ajar when he got something out of the garage but he said hadn’t left the door open, so how…?
OWEN.
Before he went to bed (like AN HOUR previously) he had a screaming crying panic attack* when he realized we weren’t downstairs with him (he was on ABCMouse) and he must have opened up the door to the garage looking for us then in his panicked state didn’t shut it.
Holy crap.
He’s going to get a lesson in door closing tomorrow.
* This is worthy of its own post as it’s been happening A LOT lately. Stay tuned.
Attempting to make stock!
A new way to fry turkey
Owen wanted to ride his bike!
Pretty in a necklace
Sad wall.
You think Katie was here?
Not always happy post-nap!
Farmer’s market, a helmet, and the Easter Bunny!
She likes it up there—and it keeps her from wandering!
Coloring at the farmers market! Do you see that “YES” by Owen? He did that…starting with the S and working backwards!
She pretty much just sat there the whole time scribbling while mostly people watching!
Walmart! Someone got a new bike helmet!
We also got Katie her own pink Radio Flyer trike—stay tuned for pics of that!
We then lucked out and ran into the Easter Bunny! Owen refused, but Katie was excited! Her first Easter Bunny pic! It only took me 12 shots to get this perfect one (in about a minute)!
She decided to feed him yogurt.
Fun on daddy’s shoulders
I’m going to miss our deck and yard.
School eggs!
Not too bright to swing!
This is what it’s like trying to get a single good picture.
Daddy told her no.
I think they were happy accidents!
So I was changing Katie’s diaper and she says “Poop potty!” Since she was mid-diaper change, I took her to the potty. Within a few seconds, I heard tinkle tinkle! Wait. What?! So I clapped and screeched and sang the pee pee in the potty song.
I don’t really think she knew what she did—but she repeated it when I said it.
AND THEN LATER…she pooped in the potty! Just one little rabbit turd, but still! What?!
Fifteen minutes later she pooped a real poop in her diaper so I’m sure both potty successes were just happy accidents and won’t be recurring anytime soon…but it made for a memorable 21-month birthday!
Katie is 21 months old today!
Park play date
Other than going to the wrong park first, we had a great time! It was a gorgeous morning and good to visit with mommy friends I don’t get to see that often anymore.
“Pony! Pony! Dirty!” (It had sand on it which I had to wipe off before she’d sit down.)
Finally going down the big slide! She’d been at the top a few times but always turned around.
40 Bags in 40 Days—Day 18
It’s bizarre how no one contacts me about anything I have listed on Lejeune Yard Sales for MONTHS and then within the last week or so three people have wanted stuff. So, today’s “bag” is a Boppy.
Plus I recycled more magazines and added more to the donate and garage sale piles.
She LOVES shoes!
Bubble face and cute monster!
Rock Star Swinging
Katie sleeping and jumping
Owen picked my shirt today
40 Bags in 40 Days—Day 17
More garbage, more recycling, more garage sale, more donations… It’s little bits here and there but it all adds up!
Plus someone came and picked up a big item! I hated to get rid of the tray tables (they were a wedding present) but we couldn’t even remember the last time we used them—and they’re HEAVY—so we made the decision to let them go.
