What shall I choose?

These are the gifts I can choose from for reaching my goal and achieving Ruby SeneSales! I absolutely don’t need knives or a drone…so I narrowed it down to a purse and eventually decided on….

The Hobo Velvet Tote. It was close with the Ralph Lauren tote (because when in my life am I ever going to get a Ralph Lauren anything?) but went with the other because of the long handles since that’s how I most use a purse.

Challenge accepted!

So this morning a friend was having fun with the SeneLook app and I joked not to tempt me because I could do that look. So then another friend challenged me to make it a totally wearable daily look.

So here’s the look!

It isn’t perfect by any stretch—I need more blending, I need a liner and probably fake lashes, and the lips are too gold (I think I need to do an ombre)…but overall it’s not bad at all! 😂

Regardless, it was fun and really didn’t take that long!

WOW. WHAT A PARTY!

I decided to throw a customer appreciation event on January 1 to thank everyone for my best year yet and to start 2021 with a bang!

Day one, I literally didn’t stop moving all day! I started working at 7:30am, took quick breaks to eat—didn’t even shower!—and was busy all day answering questions and helping people pick colors and decide on skincare solutions! The day flew by so fast I didn’t get nearly any of the extra things done that I wanted to…so I extended a day.

But y’all won’t believe this. My awesome clients helped me blow my first goal almost totally out of the water the first day. THE FIRST DAY.

So I upped my goal (and I eventually got well beyond that, too)!

Day two was a bit of a whirlwind as well. Extended again. Day three calmed down a bit. In the end, I did about 2.5 average months worth of business/sales in three days! (Now you understand why I was sooo busy all day long!)

The table o’ swag.

If you want to join my group to be around for events like this, come on over!

Let the festivities begin.

5:25pm — Anna and David and the kids came over. Anna and I needed to do our makeup so we had a shot and then…

6:13pm — Next-level New Year’s Eve makeup!

7:10pm — Then we cooked and ate a delicious Hello Fresh dinner.

10:39 — Rum punch down!

10:55pm — Look at this cute little family, LOL.

11pm (Midnight EST) — Small fireworks! We did it for the kids but they didn’t even care.

11:04pm — Adult champagne celebration.

My Christmas Eve look(s)!

I started with Pink Champagne lips and it looked okay…but that color is really just too light for me.

So since I am trying to redo ALLLL my color collage photos, I tried two other colors. My favorite is the Sheer Berry.

But check this out. I had Anna try the same Pink Champagne color and look at how different it looks! That’s simply due to the different color of our lips—hers are much more pigmented then mine!

She can stop growing up now.

We did a thing tonight!

I let her wear LipSense now and again and today was one of those days—and she always picks Skyline! So tonight I decided to just start adding some makeup…I’m not great at it (I’m barely good at it on myself) but she didn’t care and loved everything. I can’t believe she’s only 8.

I even made her do the full makeup removal and face washing routines to hopefully show her it’s not all fun so she won’t want to do it. We’ll see.

Who knew I actually liked Honey Rose?!

Honestly this lip color isn’t one of my go-tos and I think it’s a bit more of a spring or summer color but I grabbed it this morning anyway and frankly I’m kinda loving it. You just never know. Tastes change. Lip colors look different with different clothes and different color makeup. So today I’m totally rocking it!! The blue sweater doesn’t hurt either!!

Anyone else do this with lip balm?

I typically use a mini binder clip but it’s gone missing in the move. You might think I’m being cheap but really I just don’t want to waste a single bit of this “liquid gold”—it’s legit the best balm I’ve ever used. I will even cut it open once I can’t squeeze any more out! No shame in my game, y’all! (Grab yourself some here from my site, or just hit me up! You won’t be sorry!)

My small win for the day!

I love it when a random clothing purchase (the gorgeous tank top I got in my favorite online boutique) just happens to match one of my favorite Lularoe cardigans. ❤️ I’m also legit stuffed into a pair of jeans today for the first time in two or so weeks just to see if I could. They’re not super comfy but I can still button and zip them so I’m calling it a win.

Bingo! A super easy, super fast look.

I swear. Most mornings I say ā€œI’m just going to put some CCTM on!ā€ And then, well, I have to do my brows. And really, shadow just takes like a minute or two. And since I have the darker shadow out I’ll just use that for a quick blush. And now that pretty much my whole face is done, I have to do my lashes and I HAVE to use Primer. But I drew the line today at LipSense and just did gloss!

You guys. Today was a day.

I had grand plans then life happened.

  • I spent too much time refereeing kid drama (today proved they get into trouble when I’m not sitting at the table with them). Plus learned they’ve both snuck their devices which should be an instant loss for a week but…I was so overwhelmed with everything else I forgot.
  • I spent 4.5 hours with Apple tech support (chat and phone!) trying to figure out a bizarre password issue.
  • I had multiple random technology and business spreadsheet issues (that necessitated asking a math teacher friend for help).
  • Discovering WHEN I WENT TO PLACE MY MONTHLY ORDER at 10pm that my business credit card was expired and the new card supposedly arrived a month ago but I’ve not seen it (so I got to hunt for that—unsuccessfully I might add—tonight).
  • And then I discovered that one of the kids iPads is literally covered in something sticky.

The best part about today? It’s over in 21 minutes.

Just look at my face! WHAAAAAT?!

Check. This. Out. Look at my skin over two years.

This is using the skincare every. single. day. I didn’t use everything every single day but I did use the cleanser, daytime moisturizer, and evening moisturizer for sure. (I know the lighting is a little different but even so you can see how much it’s changed.)

I am just gobsmacked.

I know two years is a long time but you have to start with Day 1 at some time, so why not now?

Oh it’s just my nightly skincare in 15 steps.

I used to laugh when I saw women on TV shows or movies doing any kind of bedtime skincare routine because I was like “WHO REALLY DOES THAT?! It’s just faked for TV!”

Well. Time changes things and I’m now that woman. Plus I do a lot more then TV or movies ever show (because frankly it’s not that exciting 😂). I mean, here’s my nighttime ritual in just 15 quick pics. 😂

Ooops! LipSense Remover, Fooops! Make-up Remover, LipSmooth Conditioning Polish, Normal to Dry 3-in-1 Cleanser, Advanced SenePlex+ Renewal with Retinol, Digital Age Defense Serum, Climate Control, Nangai Oil mixed with Normal to Dry Evening Moisturizer, Eye Cream, Collagen Night Pak, Lip Balm, Lifting and Firming Neck Cream.

And no, it doesn’t take forever. I took the first pic at 9:31 and the last pic at 9:42 – but it will take you MUCH less time if you’re not stopping to take pics! 😂

But even if it did take 11 minutes a night it’s worth it for how much my skin has changed and how happy I am with it. And especially because I don’t think I look—gasp—47!

What’s your evening skincare routine?
