Today I had a Lippy Visit with Ann—our old neighbor from North Carolina! We decided to go outside her comfort zone with more powerful colors instead of her typical Moca Java/Candied Cocoa Shimmer… She wasn’t too sure but I think it looks great (and her daughter agreed)!
We both used the same colors on our eyes…

Tonight was my pseudo-upline’s Dominion Virtual Awards. I didn’t get to attend (because I didn’t pay)…but look at what I qualified for?! COMEBACK QUEEN RETREAT! Just 21 people out of maybe thousands?! WHAAAAAT?! I was floored when my friend Breesy sent this screenshot to me!
And remember the awards I mentioned I technically achieved but didn’t get my own certificate because I didn’t pay to attend? Well, they made a one-time exemption with virtual certificates—and my name wasn’t on it (I did it myself!) but here they are!
Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way! I never imagined this little side gig would turn into this…

Veronica and I had a blast on Zoom this morning both trying to do the same look (we used slightly different colors).
Neither of us ended up even close to the picture so we both considered them fails!! That said, both of ours look respectable and we both have a newfound respect for anyone who can copy a look. It’s hard.
So, did we succeed or was it a hot mess? You be the judge. No offense taken because we both think it was a mess.
Just look how this turned out. Gorgeous. 🤩 I even accept the lip color that a friend suggested, even though Goddess is a color that I generally do not like at all on me (it’s one of those damnable pinks). It looked absolutely horrid going on—like chalky Pepto Bismol—but after, with gloss and in a photo…I can admit it looks pretty good.

So as I’ve mentioned, I do my SeneVersary party months as a celebration of another year in the business but also as a huge thank you to everyone for supporting me—I couldn’t do it without you!
Never did I imagine the impact this business would have on me. It’s not even the extra money so much as the newfound friends, additional self confidence, improving makeup skills, learning to go outside my box…and even moreso now…allowing me to work from home!
I want to publicly thank my friends and family for your orders (and loyal REorders!) of AMAZING products, to the ladies always wanting to try something new, and especially to the few who have also found a love for this sustainable home-based business that we get to work on our own schedule.
So I wanted to share something with you that I learned tonight.
Had I planned to attend seminar (this weekend, cancelled), I would have been up on stage receiving an award from the CEO of our company. What the what?! Yep, I technically fall under her so in her dominion, I would have been one of the top 15!
Now, to be perfectly clear, this is not the top 15 of the whole company. This would be more like…a grade out of a whole school district. There are many grades and classes, each with a leader and a bunch of people in them. And in her grade of, say, 500 people, I am in the top 15. So it’s still something good but it’s not like I’m in the top 15 of the entire school district of 10,000. (We just had our annual awards ceremony and there are so many people doing so many amazing things with huge teams and multi millions dollars worth of sales that my achievement seems quite piddly in comparison. But it is still something noteworthy.)
So you guys, this just completely blows my mind. And I wasn’t going to go to seminar because it cost a few hundred dollars and is way outside my box and I hate huge groups of people and I keep thinking this is just a little side thing and I don’t have a huge team and I really don’t do THAT much business… But apparently I do enough to earn a top spot?! Again, mind blown.
And I could have had this one as a company-wide thing…had I ponied up the cash to go. I guess I’ll be happy knowing I could have gotten a piece of paper. But seriously, it’s actually a pretty big deal and I’m kinda bummed you only get the award if you were going to attend.

I did a new thing today—a Zoom call with a friend who walked me through a new eye look using ALL THE PASTELS!! Other than some typical internet glitches where we froze or sounded like robots, it went really well and was a lot of fun! AND I AM TOTALLY LOVING THE WHOLE LOOK!
I was hesitant about this collection since I am generally NOT a pastel person…but these are actually my jam!! The Mauve Shimmer is divine (and my favorite) but the Buttercup Shimmer and Peaches are really good, too. The Lilac is probably the least best color for me but it TOTALLY worked as a base.

I’m not sure if this look is quite bewitching on me…but between having a dried-out shadow, having to pop the stopper and add Nangai Oil, leaving a trail of Glitter all over my face, and failing miserably at a wing, it could honestly have been much, much worse. The overall effect is definitely passable!!
I finally got through my inventory day which is always a nightmare (I swear I keep good track of everything, but…) so this is my reward. It’s my very last bottle of my favorite Strawberry Lime.
So I was all excited to do another eye look after my success yesterday… Hahahahahahaha. What a fail. At least the ladies in my group got a kick out of the live demo!!
One of these things is not like the other. I think it’s my hair. Right? If my hair was down it would look better. And lipstick. I need lipstick.
Since there is no chance of needing to go into public and worrying that my eyeshadow was absolutely horrendous, I just totally winged it…and it turned out pretty damn good! (It’s far from perfect, of course, but I’m proud of myself for going outside my box.)
When I walked downstairs, Owen saw me and his eyes got really wide and said “Wow mom. You look exotic!” Tom even said he really liked it!!
The funny thing is that it felt absolutely INSANE while I was doing it—and it even looked a little crazy in person—but it appeared mostly normal in pics?! So I could probably get away with this on a more regular basis!!
I took probably 100 pics trying to get something decent so here are some of the best…and funniest. There was also a lipcolor change mid-day.

I rarely get recognized for any of my work accomplishments since I have no true working upline (and my “official” upline leader is the CEO of our company due to people dropping off… which sounds cool but is effectively useless)… I have been taken under the wing of an amazing leader, but I’m not in her back office (since I fall outside her dominion) but she still tries to keep tabs on me. Soooo she posted this in her 8000-member group today.
Look what SeneGence sent with my recent order?! They made their own hand sanitizer and are donating tons of it to local charities and businesses!! We’re hoping they will have (or eventually make) enough for us to sell it!
Okay so I went outside my box today and used Champagne Shimmer with—ARE YOU READY?—Pink Hibiscus Shimmer on my lids AND under my eyes! And it doesn’t look like I’m sick or have two black eyes!! SUCCESS!!

I’ve been feeling overwhelmed and stressed and not even wanting to get dressed, let alone put makeup on…so this is what I did today.
My thoughts? Day-um I’m a plain Jane. But also day-um I clean up pretty well.

The last time I had a facial was 2016 and the esthetician said my skin was okay but I really needed to start taking better care of it. So after a few years of using SeneGence products?? Even though I knew I was putting pink in my eyebrows, it was really very disconcerting to see totally pink eyebrows so I decided to add some fake magnetic lashes to perk up my eyes a little bit more. I never would have done this a few years ago…so SeneGence has really helped me step outside my comfort zone.
