Spirit Week: Wacky Day
This week is Spirit Week at Owen’s Pre-K and I was clueless about the first day—Wacky Day. Wacky Day? Give me an Inside Out Day or a Backwards Day…but Wacky? After asking some other parents and getting some ideas (some of which we didn’t have the stuff for like hair paint), Owen was totally on board with it. He ended up with a backwards shirt mismatched with shorts, two different socks, two different shoes…and pig tails like Katie (except he wanted them out about 20 seconds after I put them in—I made him keep them in for pictures).
Pig tail twins!
Dirty Girl, Day 2
Cool and sunny…perfect for playing outside!
Wagon Rides
We got the wagon out of the shed a while back and finally got it cleaned out. Katie was a hot mess after her nap (due to all her shots) but she liked being outside and I thought she might like a wagon ride.
Nope.
So Owen played with Papa instead.
Then Katie was happy again—and watching them intently—so we tried putting her in with Owen.
Nope.
Watching TV together
TV Togetherness
Owen is four years eight months old today!
I like his age now…I say “Owen, go sit on the couch so I can take a picture” and he says “Okay mama!” Getting him to smile nicely, however, is more of a chore as I get crazy smirks and head tilts and grins. But, I eventually get a good one!
And then AMAZINGLY I put Katie up there and I snapped about 30 pictures—and the very first one was the keeper!

Post-nap play time
FedEx delivery rang the doorbell and woke Katie up early which was annoying since I was desperately trying to grab a 10-minute catnap…but they were so cute I couldn’t be mad. Some of the pics are a little blurry, but I think they show the action well. 🙂
Also, I tried her hair up today…it’s super cute but hard to do since she obviously doesn’t sit still and therefore it’s hard to wrap the teeny bands multiple times.

Hanging out with Charlie:
The best pic I could get of her new outfit from Gramma Jean:
As soon as she sees me toss clean laundry in the chair, she’s over there like a shot. Usually she pulls everything off the chair but today she just played with stuff.
And hanging out with Owen again:
