The new couch isn’t as conducive to sleeping on the top/back as the old one (its MUCH narrower and REALLY slippery) but that doesn’t stop the animals from trying. Maggie was actually successful today…though it didn’t last too long.

A new gun…

Tom caught this tonight. Katie got a little too close for Charlie’s comfort…and snapped at her. She didn’t harm Katie in any way…but obviously scared her into a delayed reaction.

Racing!
Maggie was running along the fence with the next-door neighbor’s dog (the first time they’ve “met” since the renters moved in about two months ago) and Owen was playing with the pool as Tom was emptying it and dismantling the pump, etc. But then Owen noticed the dogs running (racing!) and had to get involved. If you listen closely you can hear him announce Maggie as the winner.
What’s wrong with this picture?
What was hilarious was I was sitting on the couch and couldn’t see him so all I heard was grunting and shuffling and I had no idea what was going on… I got my camera ready just in case. I’m glad I did. 🙂
Maggie Snores
I was busy cleaning and organizing stuff around the bedroom and thought the cats were growling at one another…but it turned out to be Maggie snoring under the covers. Wonder why I didn’t know she was even in the room…?? 🙂
A pooped pup
We took Maggie with us to our friends’ house for the afternoon…so she played hard for hours with Venus (a big lab). This is right after we got home…and she was zonked the rest of the night. 🙂
Another lovely hotel night with the kids.
Katie was up at 1. Maggie was noisy. Owen was up at 1:30 tossing and turning and turned his turtle night light on. I was up listening (in case he had to go potty) and saw his light go off 45m later. It came on two more times (I know because I was up and saw it). Then Katie was up at 5:30. And then Owen had to pee.

Game Day at Grandma’s!
We spent the day at Grandma Marsha’s place, and it just happened to be MSU game day! We all had our jerserys—and the boys played football and hot potato! I love Owen’s guffaw.
I caught Owen catching the football!
And I got to take a little nap with Maggie…

Cars on our cat
Owen was playing with these Cars cars when his buddy Charlie came up and laid down next to us. I took the opportunity to stack the cars on her and she actually let me! Of course, I was stacking with one hand and had the camera in the other to make sure I got the photo op! Owen was having a blast handing me the cars and watching me. Unbelievably, he knocked them all off before she got fed up and left!
