We cleaned up her toys and then covered them to try and hide them. Ha.
And playing with her bestie, Honey!
Happy anniversary to my lobster—21 photos for 21 years! I wouldn’t want to do this life with anyone but you.
And then I realized our marriage is old enough to drink today!
Trying to take an anniversary pic before we left for dinner with Anna and David and we had two photobombers! And I caught Tom mid-scowl.
And we left the kids home with this:
I had to wash her hair myself today because she said it’s been about a week since she did it. Ugh kids. (She also wanted to wear LipSense today so she’s wearing Sunshine with Diamond Kiss gloss.)
But look how cute they are?!
I forgot about going outside to read because I’d had four days of Arizona’s blast furnace weather. But omggggggg today is perfection! And I’m on book #37: The Magnificent Lives of Marjorie Post
I highly recommend this one. I had no idea it was historical fiction. To know that this lady I’m reading about actually existed was really quite cool.
Unfortunately today was really just a travel day. Since I had to change my flight at the last minute, I had a crappy boarding time on the first flight so I got a middle seat so no cool pics.
Even though I still had crappy boarding times for the second flight, I managed to score a window seat!
Overall it was an amazing weekend… Even if I didn’t get home until 9:30 instead of 4:30. And Olive greeted me like a crazed banshee when I got in the car… And then rode home like this.
Someone’s been digging in the dirt.
She loves chewing on her harness.
And you can’t catch her when she has it!
I have someone helping me work.
And now it’s playtime! She doesn’t have Honey to chase around so we have to do it!
And then nap time.
David texted to say he had planned on doing yardwork but this happened…so he was obviously stuck.
And these two are just too cute. Is Olive really just absentmindedly stretching or is she sneakily trying to get Honey to play with her? You be the judge.
She’s a sun dog whenever she goes
First calm snuggles after she went crazy upon our return.
And we learned that Tom cannot show Honey any attention otherwise Olive goes batshit crazy barking and attacking!
Saying goodbye!
Finally home…
The weather was perfect again so I spent the day in the chaise—in my PJs—and finished my second and third books!
Tom kept me from being parched with my new tumbler full of margaritas.
Got this photo update from Anna:
And then it was campfire and s’mores time!
Anna and David are watching Olive while we’re in Michigan this weekend.
No, she’s not being spoiled.
One corner of our sunshade ripped in the storm and it made a tempting plaything for Olive.
Hey mom. I think I thought this was going to be a good idea but the holes are too big for my little feets and this is not comfortable.
I’m all good—just finished book 32 and starting book 33…
I got this in case the kids need to sit on the floor. Olive thinks it’s hers!
