OMGGGGG Y’ALL. So I hurt my back yesterday just doing housework prepping for the cleaners…but I took an Oxy which pretty much made me forget about it.
Fast forward to the middle of the night when I woke up and couldn’t move! Freaked me out until I realized that the Oxy had just worn off and my back was super sore again—and it was just tough to move.
Stayed in bed laying down because it didn’t hurt if I wasn’t moving. Got out of bed at 9 to take another Oxy and sat on the couch hoping to take a nap until it started working…but the dogs kept playing and making noise and jumping on me and waking me up. So I kept floating in and out of sleep.
Guess who’s JUST NOW finally getting up?! OMG it’s almost 2:30.
And look who FINALLY settled down now that I need to get up.
Betcha didn’t think it would be for the dogs!
Katie has been begging for one and we finally told her she could buy it with her own money—thinking it would put a stop to it. Nope. She had most of the money and said she’d pay off the rest. Okay then.
And they liked it. They let Katie roll them around the house.
The next day Tom and I watched them sniffing around it and trying to get in it. So I helped.
Friends of ours—Scott and Wendy—also joined us this year as she was visiting from Seattle and they didn’t have other plans! She loves Thanksgiving and cooking so she brought most of the sides to go with Tom’s smoked turkey and smoked ham!
Thanksgiving tip? Gravy in an insulated pitcher! Pourable plus it stays warm!
The evening was spent watching football, playing cards, puzzling, and visiting!
OMGGGGG these dogs.
And Ivy has zero respect for personal space.
They have a basket of toys. They also have a doggie door. So of course all of the toys end up out in the yard…which means they get dirty and need to be washed. They just all got washed and put back in the box last night.
And some afternoon Ivy licks.
And then a big sploot.
This is normal behavior for Ivy.
Ivy MUST touch Olive at any opportunity.
And Ivy just being her weird self.
This is the best I could do.
Tuckered out…
Ivy was acting really weird earlier today and we thought she might have had a seizure (she was basically motionless with some slight twitching in a weird position for four minutes).
The vet was thrilled I had recorded it and agreed it looked like a minor seizure. But! She was also diagnosed with a double ear infection so the two things might be related. Blood panel came back with everything looking perfect so it’s a wait and see kind of thing.
