They’re both waiting for better food to magically appear in their bowls. They’ve been like this for minutes. Do your animals do this? I think mine are just old and picky (cat is 16, dog is 14).

Christmas Charlie
Since we aren’t going to be here on Christmas morning and I didn’t want to haul all the presents to Grayling, we had our family Christmas this morning. The kids were absolutely thrilled with their four gifts (something they want, something they need, something to wear, something to read—plus I added a STEM gift)… but the best pictures I got were of Charlie and her new catnip house and in Owen’s game box. 😂

When I finally sat down after packing…
I told you she likes to cuddle in the bedroom. She won’t do this anywhere else.
The bed was full of suitcase, so…

So I went for a walk this morning with a friend and after I laid down for a few minutes (because I’m apparently old and broken and my hip really hurt) and this happened.
I’d trade places with Maggie. Not Charlie.
Maggie has many happy places…but in a comfy bed in the sun with a cool breeze blowing has got to be one of the best. And who am I kidding? I would love to trade her places in a hot second.
Charlie? Not so much.
Because I literally just laid those down on the bed three seconds ago.
