Last-minute homework
I don’t always remember to check his bag at night…so some mornings it’s a rush to get it done. Of course this morning it was a dot-to-dot using the alphabet and he pretty much had to sing the alphabet to complete each letter—when he just did one completely by himself with no singing about two days ago. Only because we were running late, I’m sure. 🙂

This was farm week at school.
School theme: Family
Today Owen brought home this paper plate family drawing. Most people would probably expect stick figures, but I’m just happy he’s drawing and coloring!
He also finally got to bring home the Fire art he did with marbles!
Emotions Week
This week’s theme at school was Emotions. Owen came home Friday with this.

Owen’s first homework!
An assignment came home in Owen’s folder today. I told him he had homework.
Me: Do you know what homework is?
Owen: No.
Me: It’s work your teacher sends home that you need to do before you go back to school.
Owen: I don’t want to.
I assured him it would be easy and fun. Of course, he was done in about 15 seconds. 🙂 The only assistance I gave was reading the instructions and suggesting he make his circles a bit smaller.
Owen’s fire art
After they had the visit from the fire truck and fire engine, they painted fire! They took a day to dry before we got to see them! (They’re on the wall at school.)
