Lookin’ good!

He was out playing and I had the garage open doing stuff in there and he saw the police car…and of course wanted to play with it. I had to dig it out (it was literally buried behind and under stuff) and he loved it!

He still won’t drive it, though he did actually hit the gas pedal a little and knows it moves!
I had to take a 24-hour urine test, and this is the bucket they give you to make things easier. Of course, I left it sitting out until I was ready to start the test, and someone thought it would make a great hat. 🙂

I  listening to Owen play: “Oh no! There’s a robot in the shower!”
He has no fear about running off on his own while we’re on the golf course. You can see how far away he is from me…

He’s still got a lot to learn about hiding.
After 9+ months in the toy box, he finally dug out the entire outfit today and wanted it all on!
Oh, the energy…
Grauntie Marge got him some “magic” capsules that melt, leaving you with foam animals (<a href="like these). He loved them (as he did last year, too) and kept saying MAGIC! MORE MAGIC!

On our way to Michigan for Christmas, we made sure the hotel we stopped at had a pool… Tom said it was FREEZING but Owen still had a blast!

Grannie and Grandpa took Owen on a walk and they came back with golf clubs!! Which meant, of course, they had to have some instruction…

One of Owen’s favorite ornaments is the Stargate SG-1 that talks and lights up when you press a button. And it’s loud. Over and over and over.

And he also still loves the Star Trek Borg Cube…so he’ll get both of them going at the same time (yeah, I mistakenly put them within arm’s reach of one another).

He pulled all the pet beds from around the first floor and layed them all out in a row, then started jumping. When we’re talking about a clue, that’s from Blue’s Clues (a current favorite show), where blue paw prints signify a clue.

We were on our daily walk to the golf course but had to step off the green to let actual golfers play through. They took an interest in Owen and asked if he’d like a golf ball. Well, you know him, he can talk up a storm if he’s in the mood, but heaven forbid a stranger ask him a question. 🙂 So I took his hand and walked him over and he took the ball and off he went. And wow did he have a blast—throwing it and chasing after it. Lather, rinse, repeat.
He was eating his sammich for breakfast when he says “Bunny!” And I looked, and damn if his last remaining piece of crust didn’t look like a bunny (I tried to get a good pic but this is the best I could get.) So he hopped it through the yogurt a few times, then ate it. 🙂
You have to love his imagination. He says “Statue!” then points out the eyes, nose, and mouth! (Well, I saw the face, too—but I’m not sure why he called it a statue.)

One of his new games is to fake run into something and fall, saying “Help! Help! Mama help!” If Tom is around, he’ll go over and fawn over him, pick him up, then carry him to me where I zerbert his belly. If it’s just me, he’ll just lay there saying help help help in the cutest voice. I might go over and say “Oh no! Did you fall down? Are you okay?” To which he responds yes, he’s okay. This was one of his falls today where he ended up just laying there chilling out. 🙂
Then, while he was playing in the bath, I hear “Copter!” and look down and see this. I love his imagination.
Before hitting the golf course down at the end of our dead-end street…he had to get his feet wet! I think it’s physically impossible for a little boy to skip a mud puddle. 🙂
Just chattering away…
Running running running running running…
He loved (LOVED!) the flag.
And then back to the splashing…
And then home to play in his own water. This is him dragging his sprinkler to the edge of the driveway so it makes a waterfall. 🙂
This is Owen’s favorite place to hide in the back yard. And he’s actually more hidden in this picture than he usually is—he normally just holds one twig in front of his face.
If you tell Owen to smile, this is still the smile you get!

He still loves his wagon! Thank you, Grannie Lin and Papa!
Gramma Jean taught Owen how to drink from a hose!

Getting tickled by Gramma Jean!

Playing catch with Gramma Jean!

Playing cars and blocks with Gramma Jean. The foyer rug is perfect for roads and garages and it got used A LOT during this visit!

Everyone watching The Backyardigans.

The slide has been in the garage since it got put away for the hurricane, so I got it out yesterday when I was getting things organized. Owen was THRILLED with it, and went down it about 20 times in a row. Of course, by the time I got my camera out, he was about done.

Owen loves car rides, so when Tom came home from work today, he coerced Owen into the passenger seat for a mini car ride! Then off they went at a whopping 2mph down the street. When they came back into sight, Owen was in Tom’s lap driving—and was having a ball! The rest of the night he kept saying “More drive! More drive!” 🙂
