SCHOOL PHYSICAL!!! What?!?! The doc said her heart and lungs look good, he wasn’t set up to test vision or hearing but I had no concerns so he wasn’t concerned, and she had to get one vaccine (the second Hep A). She was a trooper!

Owen finally got out his Spirograph that he got for Christmas. His first reaction? WHOA. THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME.
He couldn’t believe it when Tom and I both told him we’d spent countless hours drawing on it as kids. I just hope he stays interested for more than a few days.
Why? One word: Katie.

Friends are coming for the weekend and Katie is excited. Here she’s “talking” to Uncle Eddy on her toy phone. 🙂
We finally had some gorgeous weather so we had a play date with friends at their house (one of Owen’s classmates).
Well, I sent him to the playground wearing my Fitbit because it was the quickest watch and alarm I had (he’s getting more responsibility and is allowed to go by himself). So imagine my surprise when my fitbit synced tonight and I saw this:
It means he was moving consistently for almost 34 minutes! (The calories are off because it uses my weight.)
I love data.
Owen hauled both bears downstairs tonight…and then this happened.
“They’re loving each other.”
He was actually planning a bear wedding but it never happened.
After her gardening experience, she was a mess…so she had to get a bath. I had stuff to do upstairs so let her play for a loooong time. The only bath rule is keep the water in the tub. So, needless to say when I walked in and saw this…
…I was NOT happy.
There was water everywhere. All around the outside ledge of the tub, in puddles on the floor, splashed on the wall… So I gave her a towel and she had to dry it all off. Plus she lost bath time for at least a week—she’ll get 5-minute showers only.
Tom was home sick today so they were playing games together before school. 🙂
With the two front teeth that still aren’t fully in!
Friends from South Carolina came to DC for the weekend and we grabbed dinner with a bunch of other friends at a pizza place.
Of course, the kids were watching TV. (Guess how old the boy is. Just guess. Nope—he’s 6.5 and in first grade! I know, right? I told you we grow them big. 🙂 )

As a sidenote. We had a perfect example of why I say I hate people. Parking in downtown DC is always a nightmare, but we were thrilled to realize there was a parking garage right next door to the restaurant. Except some asshat parked next to us in a NON-PARKING spot which necessitated a 23-point turn to exit our space. (Parking is tight in the best of cases, so with him there it was ridiculous.)

We arrived early enough so she could take a quick run on the balance beam.
We took Owen to the doctor about three weeks ago because he had a bad cough. Today was just a recheck because he’s still coughing a little and I just wanted to make sure he wasn’t getting worse. He’s fine.
They usually play like this when Owen gets home from school.
She has to count out eight bunnies to play the game. Apparently they have to be in s certain order as well. 🙂
It’s the first really nice day we’ve had so I took the kids to the library playground and walked two miles while they played.
A friend of Owen’s was there so they had fun running around together.
