Katie’s Pre-K end of year party!

The party was at Katie’s favorite park—the goose park. She was excited!

I had a good time as well—I spent the morning hanging out and talking/getting to know Mason’s mom, Carolina. We’re about the same age, we got along well, and we set up a future pool play date!

The only bad thing is that Katie didn’t have school that afternoon because of the party!! 🙂

We often go to our neighborhood park with our neighbors, Julie and Kayleigh (2.5yo). Katie loves to push Kayleigh around in her car.

We were at the park and Katie was taking a break because some little girl didn’t want to play with her.

Long story short, she ended up getting a book from someone and she just thought it was THE greatest thing. “Mama! It’s got words in it! And pictures!” 🙂 And I just love this picture.

Well, I sent him to the playground wearing my Fitbit because it was the quickest watch and alarm I had (he’s getting more responsibility and is allowed to go by himself). So imagine my surprise when my fitbit synced tonight and I saw this:

It means he was moving consistently for almost 34 minutes! (The calories are off because it uses my weight.)

I love data.

Katie LOVES swinging.

She still swings the entire time I’m taking my walk (which is about 18-20 minutes). I usually still have to get her started with a big push, but today she started all on her own! She was waiting for me to come push her and was just swinging her legs back and forth…and she started moving. I saw it happening and procrastinated getting over there…and soon she was swinging as high as ever! I love her hair in slo-mo!

I made her change out of her dress and tights, but she still had to wear a tutu. We could only find those two Crocs. And she had to take her purse. I love it!

She loves our friends’ baby and likes playing with him. We were at the park and Cheyenne had to take Cayenne to the potty so we watched Hami…and Katie kept him occupied so he would t cry. 🙂

Another nice day, another trip to the playground. But we also went down to the water today because she heard another kid talking about the pond and she wanted to go, too! 🙂

Throwing rocks and twigs in—a favorite activity.

And then as we were standing there, a bunch of Canadian geese flew in and landed in front of us!

I was on my walk when I noticed Owen had started pushing Katie! And she was loving it!

Owen didn’t have activity camp this week so we did this instead! They played while I walked around the path for my mile walk!

Today he brought a shield and sword.

Katie likes to be pushed high!

Her same friend was back—this time with a scooter. Katie desperately wanted to use the scooter, but didn’t want to actually move on it. 🙂

Guess which one loved it and which one was scared to death?

Katie loved it and Owen was scared—he liked the first 10 seconds of Tom lifting him up into the tree but then it was a constant stream of “I’m scared, I don’t like this, I want to get down!” I told him I wanted a picture and held my phone up, he saw it and smiled brilliantly for the photo above, then that was IT.

Today we stopped.

Every day after we drop Owen off at his sports camp and turn into our subdivision, Katie wants to go to the playground. It’s usually at least 85° and godawful humid by then, so I say no. But today was gorgeous so we stopped.
