I’m coming to get you!
Owen just said “I’m coming to get you!” then proceeded to “sneak” across the room to come tickle me. We’ve been doing that to him for years.
I found a cracker Owen doesn’t like!
I found a cracker that Owen doesn’t like—Chicken in a Biscuit. Of course he was really interested in what I was eating, so I handed him two and after getting it near his mouth and licking it, he shoved it back in the box before I could stop him. Then he tried the second one :??:  😀 and handed it back saying “No thank you, mama.”
Headphones are cool!
Our first road trip with the new car—heading to Wilmington—introduced Owen to headphones. He was SO giggly and ecstatic over them!
Anything can be a toy.
I had to take a 24-hour urine test, and this is the bucket they give you to make things easier. Of course, I left it sitting out until I was ready to start the test, and someone thought it would make a great hat. 🙂

Vitamins. Ugh.
Gummy bears? Sure.
Gummy vitamins? No way.
Why?!?!
Ugh.
A robot in the shower?
I  listening to Owen play: “Oh no! There’s a robot in the shower!”
My little runaway.
He has no fear about running off on his own while we’re on the golf course. You can see how far away he is from me…

Hiding on the golf course
He’s still got a lot to learn about hiding.
We’re going to mars!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQDhmDvqcL8
He loves his Backyardigans. This is from the Mars episode.
(And as he’s watching me post this two weeks later, he started singing it again!)
Our little knight!
After 9+ months in the toy box, he finally dug out the entire outfit today and wanted it all on!
Owen is 2 years 11 months old today!

Sparty fan in da’ house!
Owen, reading Tom’s MSU T-shirt: “M-I-C-H-I-G-A-N-S-T-A-T-E spells Sparty!”
December pictures are online!
Maggie toes!
Me: Owen, what’s this?
Owen: Maggie toes.

Owen shows off our family plans for next July…
We made the official Facebook announcement today…

The shirt is how we shared the big news with the Len side of the family (back on December 23, when this photo was taken)…
Shake the baby!
Trick or treat…?
I was unpacking with Owen in the room when I hear “Trick or treat! Trick or treat!” I wondered what could possibly have prompted that…when I look over and see him carrying his Lightning McQueen basket. 🙂
Jump kick with the dragon!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lE-stbxT-NQ
Owen is a great road tripper, but he was finally getting a little restless around Raleigh, so we decided to stop at a local park we’d been to before. He had a blast running around on the play ground, and then went over to run around the dragon (which was closed the last time we were there). He had watched an older girl jump up and kick the dragon, so he was attempting to do the same…
Great eyesight!
Owen really does have great eyesight…he’s constantly seeing things and pointing them out to us. For example, on the road trip, he constantly points out “towers!” and sometimes, we have to really look to see what he’s seeing.
So we were just getting on the road this morning when he starts saying “An arrow! Arrow!” from the back seat, so we’re looking around outside not seeing any arrow. Since his eyes are really good we really thought we were just missing it.
It turns out he was talking about the tiny arrow on the GPS screen!
Family Christmas Photos 2011
Official Family Christmas Photo:

Spur of the moment photo that I like better…

Cooking with Grandpa
Well, maybe not so much cooking as watching him separate eggs. Once Owen actually started “helping” (i.e. got his fingers into it), only one ended up down the front of the dishwasher and on the floor. :>>

Faster! Faster!
Oh, the energy…
Magic with Grauntie Marge
Grauntie Marge got him some “magic” capsules that melt, leaving you with foam animals (<a href="like these). He loved them (as he did last year, too) and kept saying MAGIC! MORE MAGIC!

Blue candy cane!
As soon as he saw the mini candy canes on Gramma’s tree, he had to have one! He picked blue…

Cute, but not nearly as cute as last year… 🙂

At the hotel pool!
On our way to Michigan for Christmas, we made sure the hotel we stopped at had a pool… Tom said it was FREEZING but Owen still had a blast!

Maggie Helper
Owen now knows how to let Maggie out of her crate. “C’mon, Maggie, downstairs!”
“Christmas” Morning
We had “Christmas” this morning (since Owen won’t know the difference) so Santa could give him the train table…and he LOVED it! (We were sure he would, but you just never know.)

He is also really into opening presents now, and thinks every wrapped present is his. Soooo cute!

Also, Owen is now in 5T pants. Some 4Ts still fit, but they’re a little tight in the butt and thigh area.
Lastly, we got a decent family photo in the first session of 20 pics! (And of course, Owen looks the best!)

And with his stocking!

Golfing!
Grannie and Grandpa took Owen on a walk and they came back with golf clubs!! Which meant, of course, they had to have some instruction…

Cookie Monster Twins!

This is probably the last year for them to match, unless I order Owen a bigger size.
