It was sunny so Katie wanted to do chalk…but it was chilly. Hence the winter coat. Of course, chalk only lasted about two minutes and then she was off collecting leaves.

My little gymnast
I forgot to post these a week ago.
Post-Friendsgiving
We let the kids stay up for a bit after the excitement of the evening…
And then this happened. 🙂
Presents from Papa & Grannie
We got a box of Christmas presents today. There were a few small things for the kids to open now. They loved their Santa hats…
And the scarf matched Katie’s outfit perfectly!
Katie with her kids
She often calls her dolls…and the pets…her kids.
I reached my limit today.
The amount of toys they have that they don’t play with is insane. I dumped out all the bins from the shelving unit and I’m making them pick out their favorite things and the rest is going away. (And this is just upstairs. Ugh.) Happy Thanksgiving?!
Pre-bedtime cuddles with daddy.
Hand-me-down Christmas outfit
The stinker actually took a nap!
Katie was being a bit of a stinker so I sent her to her room. I told her she didn’t have to take a nap and I’d check on her in a bit. I went up about 20 minutes later and found this—she had turned on her sound machine, her nightlight, and crawled into bed. 🙂
A Katie Flyer
Since she was good while I was running a few errands, I let her play at the mall play area for a bit. She LOVES jumping off things.
Purple dress and purple boots!
Crazy Cart Katie with Daddy
Every time we go to the grocery store she asks to ride in the car cart. It’s a big ol’ pain in the ass because it’s so big and awkward so I always say no. But daddy was with us today and he’s a big ol’ pushover. So they played while I shopped. You could hear them halfway across the store, I swear, with as loud as the cart is and her screeching like crazy!
Prepping box tops.Â
Owen trims and checks expiration dates, Katie glues, and mom supervises. (Daddy was cleaning and organizing the media cabinet to try and fit the Wii in.)
We finally made it to the National Zoo!
The panda watch center. Amazing.
Lunch after we left the zoo…
And of course we were Pokemoning the whole day…and these are the two gyms we overtook!
Of course Charlie was in the game box…
So then this happened:
Katie: Mom, can I roll the dice on Charlie?
Me: Sure.
Katie’s very first school picture!
She is just so unbelievably photogenic…
And we didn’t order any of the additional backgrounds, so these are just the proofs off the website.
And a comparison:
Owee! Give me a hug goodbye!
Katie picked the leggings…
I picked the rest.
Two Barbies in a Croc
These are the kinds of things I constantly run across in our house: Katie put two barbies to bed in one of Tom’s Crocs.
Third and final outfit.Â
As soon as I got down the boots she had to put them on to be like mommy. And then she picked a purple dress. So we kind of matched.
Her next outfit!
This is what she’s doing while I organize her next size clothes.
DC Pokémon Morning
Two kids and a dollhouse
Katie has been asking for a dollhouse so I reminded her she had one…so they had to pick up and make room for it. We’ll see how long they stay interested this time. Last time (after it was opened at Christmas) it lasted about a week.
Pokémon break at the pink pumpkins.
Walking to lunch and Pokémoning, we had to stop here. 🙂
Pokémon break in the gazebo.Â
Since Tom had the day off, we went on a few errands and then went Pokémoning and out to lunch in Occoquan.
Tom taught Katie something new today.Â
It was either this or have her completely in the way helping to push the cart. 🙂
11/11/16 at 11:11
Unbeknownst to me at the time, I took these photos at exactly 11:11 today.
2016 Veteran’s Day Program
The principal, Mrs. Chianetta.
South County Secondary Choir.
You can’t see him in this photo, but we saw Owen standing up this year with his sign! He was too embarrassed last year.
You can see that the marines have the fewest families in the school.
Dressed in red, white, and blue!
We were all headed to the Veteran’s Day Program at school…so we were all in red, white, and blue! (Daddy wasn’t dressed when we took the pictures, but he was in uniform.)
