So far she’s eaten avocado, egg yolk, banana, potato, canned peas, baby carrots, freeze dried strawberries, and pancakes. She doesn’t eat a lot of anything, but she hasn’t spit anything out. Her favorite is…yogurt! 🙂
Black beans, meatballs, and canned pears are on the lineup for today…and blueberries and sweet potatoes are on the shopping list.
That said, I’m finding it difficult to wrap my head around what to feed her since I’m SO conditioned from Owen not really liking anything when he was a baby.

Katie has started pulling herself up onto the steps and up on her basket of toys…
…so I figured it was time to lower her crib (because of course I imagined the worst—I could just see her pulling herself up on the side and toppling right over).
She needs to stop growing right now. 🙁

She isn’t quite crawling yet, but she can scoot along just fine. She loves heading into the kitchen to get to the dog food and water bowl.

Katie ate some of Grannie Lin’s potato salad tonight! (Well, okay, some teeny pieces of mashed boiled potatoes—but with flavoring!) I know it’s normal for babies (kids) to try new foods…I’m just SO conditioned otherwise because of Owen that it still kinda shocks me.

Katie had to get her flu booster this morning and it was still COLD so she got to wear her new monkey hat (from Gramma Jean, if I remember right).

Well, just the jacket, really. 🙂 This is the next item from the Jenny’s-old-clothes-for-Katie drawer. She wasn’t being especially cooperative this morning so no super cute photo.
Then Owen chimed in and said “I want to sit with her!”
And hugging her. I think. Well, at least he’s loving on her even if it really isn’t a hug per se.

It was difficult to try and get a picture of her tooth because she always sticks her tongue out! But, we found a way… You see, she HATES getting her hands and face wiped, so after I fed her and wiped her, I had the camera ready! 🙂
And if you look closely, you can actually see #2 coming in as well (just under the surface)!
