Mother’s Day Cuddles
I don’t get family cuddles often but this morning was one of them!

We got caught up in finishing Ozark so we were up much later than expected prepping for the Easter Bunny. And the weather stinks so the eggs have to be hidden throughout the messy houseā¦
Katie left a request for the EB to put up the last sheet of Easter window clings—she even left the scissors out so he could open them. She also specifically told me she wrote “like you” instead of “love you” — maybe love is too strong for the EB? Kids.
Also, she wrote that note in like 2 minutes happy as a clam. I try to get her to write a sentence for homework and you’d think I was asking for War and Peace.
Surprise egg hunt!
My neighbor texted to say that her kids wanted to hide some eggs for Owen and Katie. They had a blast hunting for them and discovering their spoils!
I donāt do April foolās often…
But I did get the kids with this today! (I also got their friends, since they were on a video call with them. But the friends called me out within a minute or so.

I was volunteering in both kids classes for their Valentine’s parties so I made this game!
The second graders were a bunch of cheaters but everyone had fun!

When you’re volunteering in your daughter’s classroom for a Valentine’s Day party, why not have pink eyebrows?!
Even though I knew I was putting pink in my eyebrows, it was really very disconcerting to see totally pink eyebrows so I decided to add some fake magnetic lashes to perk up my eyes a little bit more. I never would have done this a few years ago…so SeneGence has really helped me step outside my comfort zone.
I also went outside my box and used three (not two!) colors on my eyes today. I asked Owen to write birthday thank yous this morning and he did it with zero complaint! I only had to help a little with what to say.

Owen invited four friends over and they pretty much holed up in the basement and the only time I saw them was at dinner and snapped this one photo.
One friend couldn’t make it but his dad brought me over a gift…It’s like he knows me or something.

Owen’s birthday is coming up next week so I thought I’d make this awesome shirt I saw on Etsy. I only had one snafu but on the bright side I learned how to do something. Do you see it?
I posted this pic on Facebook and a friend pointed out that seconds and minutes were in the wrong order. Gahhhhhhhh!! So I learned how to remove vinyl…
And then printed more text and fixed it.
P.S. If you’ve thought about getting the Cricut heat press, do it. It’s soooo worth it.

Two friends immediately posted that was NOT A GOOD THING, but I didn’t see it because I was offline watching a movie with the fam. Then a friend called me to tell me about it. We were being careful, but we did stop burning it.
Clearance thrills! Life hack!
I love the thrill of finding something I want or need on clearance… Honestly it gives me a little endorphin rush!! So post-holiday shopping is FUN! I also love life hacks that are actually, you know, USEFUL, so here’s a twofer:

New Year’s Eve with friends!
We had dinner and game night and fireworks!
The fireworks started somewhat small.
Then we had one that was a little bigger.
And then the last one we were like Well this isn’t that impressive… and it kept going and going and getting bigger and bigger. 😂

If you’d told me on NYE 2017 that on NYE 2020 I’d be 2.5 years into a successful direct sales business, I would have laughed you out of my house (yes, we’d have been at my house since we have young kids and we’re both homebodies 😂).
I never EVER imagined I’d choose to do something that required sales, actively talking to people (strangers even!), live videos, and applying makeup…yet here we are! And I’m having a blast!
So as the new year begins I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me—I couldn’t have done it without you!

Bitmoji iPad tech support
So the iPad lessons have been continuing and tonight I was helping Mom setup Snapchat and Bitmoji because she wanted a fun Bitmoji.
We were having fun when Katie came in and wanted to help. It was funny. Gramma Jean was looking at the type of body to use and said “OH NO! I have to use the last one (plump)” and Katie spread her arms to the Heavens and said “No, make yourself skinny!” So damn cute. Mom and I laughed and laughed.

Gramma is funny.
So I’d say my mom is somewhat computer literate but she hasn’t jumped into iOS at all (to give you an idea, they have a TracFone).
But this year she got her first iPad for Christmas from us kids…and I’ve been giving her small lessons. It’s a totally new experience for her but she’s doing well–I’ve been using iOS since 2009 so sometimes I forget how overwhelming it can all be.
So tonight a bunch of us were talking and she was standing by me when she took a photo and she asked if I wanted it so I told her to Airdrop it to me (something I taught her last night) and without hesitation she dropped the iPad into my lap.
The room never laughed so hard. #scoreoneformom #micdrop

Since we arenāt going to be here on Christmas morning and I didnāt want to haul all the presents to Grayling, we had our family Christmas this morning. The kids were absolutely thrilled with their four gifts (something they want, something they need, something to wear, something to read—plus I added a STEM gift)… but the best pictures I got were of Charlie and her new catnip house and in Owen’s game box. 😂
