And I couldn’t resist snagging a cuddle!

And I couldn’t resist snagging a cuddle!

I am a member of the Facebook group Boston Terrier Society and posted my favorite picture of her! Everyone loved her and I enjoyed everyone’s pics of their crazy dogs!

After the shitshow of remote learning last year, seeing this come home seriously gave us chills! We could not be more proud of him! And he was so excited to show us—made us get together and close our eyes!
I’m not generally one for bumper stickers but you can damn well be sure this one is going on my car!

So I’m going to toot my own horn here (and give props to my customers as well).
For the month of October I participated in a four-week Ultimate Beauty Madness challenge. I won three of my four weeks overall…and I learned today that I ended up in the top 20 in sales out of almost 500 women!

This is who I beat in the fourth week—someone who was at the top of her team for sales!

And Katie’s getting her shot next Friday! It’s a good day!

Oh. Em. Gee. I could talk with my amazing leader Jenna Clark forever. She is so funny and warm and open and welcoming — I think we just might be besties if we lived closer! Our 20 minute coaching call today just flew by. She has adopted me into her squad with open arms and I am forever grateful.

Katie was supposed to be an inflatable T-rex but she had a meltdown at the last minute (somehow the costume “felt different” from when she last tried it on that morning) so after a MUCH drama, she’s wearing dino PJs.

Owen is some videogame character I know nothing about (Edgar from Brawl Stars)! Good times.

The best thing? They’re old enough to go out on their own so we sent them off while we sat at a fire in the driveway! (They went out first by themselves while we were waiting for Anna and David to arrive and then went out with the boys later!)

Our costumes were “glampers” — courtesy of Anna and David’s RV (it was in our driveway from the weekend—the kids had a sleepover in it)!!

It was a gorgeous day but it was windy and chilly—but at least it wasn’t raining or snowing! The fire was nice but could have been even warmer!

Maggie sat cuddled in a blanket on my lap for a good two hours).

We also had two adult drinks (Apple bourbon smash and rum punch) to hand out to friends but I didn’t get a pic of that!
Anna’s kids were tired after an hour or so of trick or treating but our kids went out again! Unfortunately I didn’t get the annual pic of their candy haul!
Nothing too exciting—but I did match my leggings. Not my normal colors of course but not horrible!!

I’ve kind of had them laying around for about a year now but with my new contact prescription I really need them for close up.
I hereby apologize to my parents for making fun of them when they couldn’t read menus or small print.
The UM/MSU game was crazy toward the end. This is pretty much how both of them watched it.

We decided to take a walk in our amazing neighborhood during Sparty halftime since it was such a nice day. (Also, one of these things is not like the other.)

They weren’t the best but they weren’t bad!

Watching TV, Anna and I got all the dogs…

She was the fastest out of her entire PE class! (She also said the girls beat the boys overall!)

Owen told us recently that he had been having some vision issues—seeing green lights and wavy lines and feeling pressure on his eyeballs—so we took him to the eye doctor.
After more questions and an exam (during which he got eye drops to be able to see inside his eyes), the doctor said he thought it sounded like ocular migraines—but without the actual headache. (A bonus?!)
It’s not serious—it’s actually quite common—and we’re just supposed to track when they happen to see if we can figure out a trigger.

FAIL.

We are pretty sure this was the exact table they tried to deliver the first time. Now we get to wait another 6-8 weeks and cross our fingers that they don’t try this again.
Katie loves running so when Cross Country was offered as an intramural I signed her up immediately! It was after school for an hour for eight days. Their goal was apparently to lower their time for the mile—and she did! She dropped a minute off her time!

Our team was working to achieve some really BIG goals before the end of our Leaders year… and guess what?!?
We did it!!! Our entire team made it happen and my adopted upline (6 above me) and friend, Jenna Clark, accepted the rank of Global Sapphire Queen (over 7 million in sales in just 1 year)!!!
She represented us on stage this weekend as the TOP TEAM IN THE WORLD!

I could not be more proud to learn from and work alongside such a wonderful team of women with her at the helm.
Today was Harvest Fest (aka Halloween) at school.
Costume choice #1 (Cruella) was scrapped last night because she couldn’t find the tank top I bought to go with it.
Costume choice #2 (2018’s Harley Quinn costume) was scrapped at 8am this morning because it was too scratchy, she couldn’t find a shirt to wear under it, and she lost all the accessories during her last sleepover.
So we went with a standby “costume” (MSU cheerleader) that she owns and wears regularly anyway.

Both kids lost their minds when they saw him. They both loved the beard. (I did like it but it was getting a little long.)
Can’t get Covid boosters yet so getting what’s available!

Katie’s class dissected a squid this week and it made it into the school newsletter! She’s barely in the second photo.
She said it was fun but it really smelled!!

Instead of an in-person concert, the kids recorded the concert and we will get a video of it soon! They did post a few pics online and these are two that Owen was in!
