At least it gave me a laugh. What’s almost funniest is I didn’t even notice it all morning until she went to give Owen a hug as he was leaving for school! 🙂
And even though I asked her multiple time throughout the day to change them, she never did. 🙂
After some drama surrounding getting dressed this morning, just look at this handsome devil!
It was 50% off day at the thrift shop so we got Katie a new costume for like $2. And of course my shoes were still out, so…
Black and gold for everyone! (Katie and I were planning on going to the morning program so we dressed for it as well. Also, I was excited to finally wear fall clothes!)
Since daddy was home this morning we got him in a pic, too—but he wasn’t spirited.
And then at school! Can you see Owen?
Katie was so excited to be waiting for him. As soon as she saw him she was yelling “Owen!! Owen!! OWEN!!”
He did say hi to her…
And then he saw daddy and bypassed her without a second thought. 🙂
Katie had wanted to put on her matching shirt for him (if you recall, she had her ballerina skirt on this morning).
It’s been getting into the 100s this week, and even in the morning it’s 75-80. But this is how he got dressed for the day. 🙂
Katie’s princess camp was cut short last week with the announcement of two cases of head lice. They gave us the option of taking the same class the following week, so we did. So, here she is, ready for camp again.
I liked mine so much I hunted down a pair in her size. She was SO excited to get a package…and even more excited to see what they were. She wanted to put them on immediately but I made her wait until after dinner. And then I put mine on, too.
“I love being twins!”
I was cleaning and organizing in Katie’s room and as I was up and down the hall doing stuff, she came out with these shoes. She had seen them in her closet and, of course, wanted to wear them! Yes, ladies and gents, she found the tap shoes borrowed from the Beson cousins! I didn’t want her to wear them with bare feet (what she was going to do) so I dug out a pair of my knee-high stockings and oh man did she LOVE those!
Once I told her that they make noise, she started calling them her clickety clackity shoes. 🙂 (What did I call mine? Tippity tap shoes? Something like that?)
This time to go to gymnastics. 🙂
We told her to take off her white patent leather dress shoes because they weren’t play shoes. She came out with knee-high purple leather boots instead.
And then I put my feet up and this is what happened. Yep, she had to do it, too. 🙂
And he’s so cute in it…
But…we’ve decided against continuing. And oh, the guilt I feel as he excitedly runs around practicing his kicks and showing Katie his moves and repeating his instructions and replying yes, ma’am to me. That said, the guilt just isn’t worth $160/month for 12 months.
Katie just asked him to do something and he said “No, I have to practice.” 🙁 And then he just bowed before he went into the bathroom and then into Katie’s room. And he’s been giving me yes ma’ams all night.

I know he’ll get over it soon enough…I just hope I will.
I bought us a Mommy & Me set of LuLaRoe leggings and gave them to her today. She loved that we had matching stuff and the first thing she said when she put them on was “Wow! These are super comfy!” 🙂 Yes, yes they are. Smart girl. 🙂
They’re still a little small on her so I know we will see these again! 🙂
He likes wearing our shoes just like Katie does!
OMG I cannot stand the cuteness. I bought this dress from a friend and I just love it—and I didn’t realize until JUST now that it also has LADYBUGS on it!! And the ladybug is riding the hedgehog. It kills me.
I decided to keep the Le Tote pants! And I wanted to find shoes to go with them so I wore them again today to go shoe shopping!
I had asked my friends for assistance in picking the style shoe, so was consequently on the hunt for ballet flats. I was unsure because I didn’t think any of them had any support—and I need the support for my back!—and I’m at the age where comfort outranks fashion. But fortunately I found six pair to decide between—then narrowed it down to four:

I really wanted the Born because they were buttery soft and very comfy (and came highly recommended)…but the others were almost as comfy and a slightly truer black. And $20 cheaper. 🙂
Katie loves trying on shoes so she was helping! (In a new dress from Grannie Lin!)

So my trip was a double success—I found the style shoes I set out to find AND I came home with only that one pair!
We realized this morning that Owen and Papa both dressed in blue shirts and khaki pants (though you can only see Owen’s blue hoodie and blue coat)! Owen was laughing about it and said “Ha! I think we’re kinda like twins!” 🙂
Grannie brought Katie two new suits—of course she had to wear one to swimming tonight!
I wanted to try on some shoes at Nordstrom Rack and Katie was trying them on right along with me. Of course most of the ones she picked I was afraid she as going to break her neck…
…so I finally convinced her to at least try on flatter shoes. 🙂
