Four movies!

We hardly ever watch movies, but this weekend we ended up watching not one, not two, not three—but FOUR movies!

  1. Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian
  2. UP
  3. The Hangover
  4. 500 Days of Summer

Our thoughts?

Night at the Museum 2 was cute—we enjoyed the first one, and this was more of the same. Good free Redbox rental, for sure.

I knew I wanted to see UP (SQUIRREL!), and everyone has loved it, but I really didn’t have any idea what it was about. Turns out they were right when they said it was a sad, but good, movie. We enjoyed it, and I was teary more than once. It was certainly worth the $1 Redbox rental. 🙂

We wanted to see The Hangover because it seems everyone has been ABSOLUTELY RAVING about it, watching it multiple times. Well, about a half hour in, we were still waiting for it to get good. 😐 It had some funny bits and some good lines, but it’s certainly nothing I need to ever watch again. Apparently it’s just not our sense of humor—or we need to be drunk to fully enjoy it. 🙂 I’m just really glad we didn’t actually pay to see it (it was a free rental from Redbox).

I also didn’t have any idea what 500 Days of Summer was about. At all. I just knew a bunch of friends had enjoyed it. Well, FYI, it has nothing to do with a long summer, but rather a girl named Summer. 🙂 It was cute, but it felt like it dragged on a little too long. I probably could have turned it off halfway through and not cared much if I ever finished it. We should have saved it for a $1 Redbox rental instead of a $3 Netflix rental.
