…wait until you see the living room. My god, is it orange. The office looks tame in comparison! Right now, while we’re painting, it sorta honestly looks like nacho cheese—exactly the effect we DIDN’T want. You can see when it dries (where my strokes have overlapped into two coats) it’s a nice deep orange, though…Dark Palomino to be exact. Phew. Unfortuantely, it’s off to Lowe’s tomorrow: we need to buy Gallon #3—one gallon didn’t even make it around the room once! That sucks. And that’s two rooms now where we thought ahead to buy two gallons and ended up having to buy a third. And does anyone else think it shouldn’t cost $60 to paint one stupid room?? But I guess that’s what you get when you don’t want to live with white. But it’s worth it…it already looks SO much better with one coat (even though the one coat looks absolutely horrible—as first coats usually do). So much warmer and homey looking. The room looked cavernous before—now it looks like a living room. Pictures will be posted tomorrow if all goes well after the second coat!!
