We officially became renters at about 2:45 this afternoon! We ran into a few small pitfalls along the way (like the buyer’s lender telling us at just about the last possible minute that we needed a notarized letter from a contractor saying our fireplace was vented correctly!), but everything ended up going smoothly.
Tom has been moving boxes to our new house all day (just the garage, actually, as it isn’t offically our house until Friday afternoon). Poor guy—the heat index for today is about 115. He started at 6am, though (when it was only 85), and is taking a break during the worst part of the day. I can’t wait to see the empty garage when I get home!
