I didn’t lose my credit card and I don’t think I’ve used it anywhere unsafe. However, there was an unauthorized charge for $80 recently so I called to cancel the card and have another reissued. Imagine my surprise when I was told there would be a $10 fee for new cards. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I have never heard of a fee for reissued cards before and I think it’s just asinine. But I was so flabbergasted that I couldn’t even think or respond—I just said fine. I wrote an email to customer service complaining about the fee and they said they will credit it as a one-time courtesy. I guess sometimes it pays to complain…
