Chase sucks!

I used to have a Chase credit card. USED TO. I finally decided to close it…and that’s where the fun begins…

Since I no longer needed the account, I wanted all my online information deleted. Easy request, right? You’d think. I emailed them via their own secure message center.

No luck.

They gave me an 800 number to call. Fine, I did.

No luck.

They told me to email [via my own email] to request closure. Fine, I did. They told me to reconfirm I wanted Bill Payment cancelled since it would be final and I would no longer be able to make payments.

Um, not quite.

I responded that I wanted ALL my information (i.e. login, account, bank account, etc.) deleted in addition to the Bill Payment service. They responded…are you ready????

After reviewing your account information, I have needed to forward the information onto our research department for further evaluation.

For further assistance please log on to Chase Online at http://www.chase.com and access your ‘Pay Bill’ link. This will launch the Chase Bill Management Center window where you can select ‘Contact Us’.

Please note that replies sent from within your personal email account will travel unsecured through the Internet. Therefore, we recommend that you access our website to send a secure email inquiry.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? ARGH!!! They’ve now recommended I email them via their own secure message center—which is the first %(*&#* thing I did!
